Dendro (Traveler) is a Genshin Impact 3.0 build that can be utilized like past versions of the Traveler – a DPS that provides support for teammates. Utilizing the power of Dendro, there are a number of possible team combinations you can explore.
The Dendro Traveler can easily fit a lot of differing team compositions – so by no means is there a definitive ‘answer’ as to who you should be utilizing the character with. However, it is absolutely essential to understand how to best optimize your team with elements. We’ll touch on this in our ‘how to build Dendro teams’ guide for Genshin Impact 3.0 briefly.
How to Build and Formulate Dendro Teams in Genshin Impact
The Dendro (Traveler) has a unique position of being a great source of support as a sub DPS.
The best Dendro (Traveler) weapon would be the Sacrificial Sword – or Favonius Sword as a B-plan. After damaging an opponent with the Sacrificial Sword, the skill has a 40-80% change to end its own CD, which can only occur once every 14-30 seconds.
With the Favonius Sword, critical hits have a 60-100% chance to generate one Elemental Orb, that can regenerate 6 Energy for the character and can only occur once every 6-12 seconds.
Both of these are optimal for Energy Recharge.
The best Artifact in this case would easily be Deepwood Memories (4-piece) – Energy Recharge / Dendro DMG / Critical DM, with a Dendro DMG bonus of 15% and after Elemental Skills or Bursts hit opponents, the corresponding targets’ Dendro RES will get decreased by 30% for 8 seconds. This effect can be triggered even when the equipping character is not on the field.
Some options for Dendro teams could be organized as follows when playing with this Dendro set-up:
If you decide to play this character as a Sub DPS, you need to understand how elements can complement one another in terms of optimizing your team.
As a Sub DPS character in a team based on Elemental reaction damage due to elemental Burst, one of the best options is Electro. Therefore, Raiden should be a main DPS in our last formation, along with Kuki Shinobu for healing and to activate Electro Resonance. Sucrose can decrease enemy resistance and help pull them together for you.
In our second team, Bennett offers the role of Healer/Support and his Elemental Burst can provide a huge attack boost, while helping to heal other party members. He should be using a Skyward Blade, and Noblesse Oblige (4) as the Artifact of choice.
Xiangling also can utilize Elemental Burst in addition to a continuous Pyro element attachment – as a DPS support, Childe also provides powerful support with Hydro Damage.
