Genshin Impact: Looking for the Control Keys Guide | Energy Extraction Device

In Chatrakam Cave, which is located to the North of Sumeru City, you will come across an enemy base with an Energy Extraction Device that needs to be diffused with the required ‘Control Keys.’

How to Diffuse the Energy Extraction Device Challenge – Chatrakam Cave: Finding the Control Keys in Genshin Impact

As the area will have a plentiful number of enemies, ensure this is cleared out and find the mechanism called the Energy Extraction Device.

The part on the top that is glowing yellow is one Control Key – however, you’ll need to access two more to place on the red parts, located on either side of the Extraction Device.

The first Control Key location can be found by heading inside the building directly behind the Energy Extraction Device and following the path upward until you find the floating yellow key therein. Approach it and you’ll automatically obtain the first Control Key.

Defeat the spawned enemies and exit the building.

Facing the Energy Extraction Device, turn left and climb over the mountains there – glide toward the top of the building that lies underneath and jump inside the small opening to reach another part of the building.

Once inside, follow the pathway until you locate the second glowing Control Key.

After you obtain both keys, you’ll need to proactively guard the Energy Extractor while a small bar appears above it after selecting to “Deactivate.” You need to guard the device from the enemies until the gauge fills completely.

If you travel too far away from the device, or there are enemies that try to intervene, it will automatically halt the progress of the bar filling, so ensure you take down all the spawned enemies and hover near it until it is fully loaded.
