Genshin Impact: The Rhythm That Leads to the Gloomy Path Quest Guide

There are lots of new and exciting quests that you can complete in the newest Sumeru region in Genshin Impact 3.0. One of them is called The Rhythm that Leads to the Gloomy Path quest where you are tasked with getting the Vasoma fruit.

As the quest will have you complete various objectives, it can get confusing real quick. Luckily, I’ve created this guide to help you complete the quest quickly and easily.

The Rhythm That Leads to the Gloomy Path Quest Guide in Genshin Impact

In The Rhythm that Leads to the Gloomy Path, you will have to look for a Vasoma fruit which you can only get by entering the Vasara Tree’s dream. However, there are several things you need to do first.

First of all, you need to complete the quest called The World of Aranara which is part of the Aranyaka: Part II – Dream Nursery questline. Aside from that, you also need to complete Encounter in the Woods in order to trigger the start of this quest.

To start, head over to the Gandha Hill waypoint as shown in the image below:

Once you get there, simply follow the quest marker that will lead you to Arayasa and Ayama. Also, behind them is a set of glowing sigils lying on the ground that you have to investigate. This will trigger a quest where you need to observe the Sumeru roses nearby.

For this one, you have to observe the purple roses from different angles. You’ll notice that each time you observe, a tiny glow will appear on top of each flower. Basically, you just have to run around in a circle to get them all glowing.

After you got all of them to glow, you’ll then get a prompt to play music. Switch to your Vintage Lyre and start playing the music by following the notes in the exact order. Once you’re done playing the music, you’ll then unlock the Rhythm of the Gloomy Path song.

With the song unlocked, follow the quest marker telling you to head over to the northeast. Once you get there, you’ll see a sprouting branch where you need to play music. Once again, switch to your Vintage Lyre and start playing the Rhythm of the Gloomy Path song. This will unlock a portal that you have to go through.

Inside the Withering Zone

Going through the portal will take you to the Withering Zone. Here, you’ll have to destroy the huge flower in the middle that causes the withering. Throughout the area, you’ll find a Candle of Life pillar that you have to light up.

Then, go to the upper right corner of the area to find another sprouting branch. Play the song once more to unlock another portal – this one taking you to another room.

Enter the portal then simply follow the marks on the wall. This will take you to a sprouting branch where a Dendrogana is supposed to appear. For it to appear, you should first clear the area of enemies and then go back to the sprouting branch to summon Dendrogana.

Return to the portal and start shooting at the red plants in the room using charged Dendro attacks. After destroying the plants, interact with the huge flower to destroy it, rewarding you with an Exquisite Chest in the process.

Follow the quest marker and climb up the cliff to the right. Investigate the spot to trigger a brief cutscene where you will enter the Vasara Tree’s dream to obtain the third Vasoma fruit.

Inside the Vasara Tree’s Dream

As soon as you enter the dream, you’ll encounter a bunch of enemies in front of you as well as a flower with a barrier in the middle. You have to deal with the enemies to remove the barrier on the flower and pick up the stone on top of it.

Head west to find yet another sprouting branch where you have to play the song once again. Enter the portal, continue moving forward, and deal with all the enemies further down to cause the Dendrograna to appear.

Summon the Dendrograna and fire at the flying objects to remove the barrier for another plant. Pick up the stone on top of it and go back to where the portal is. However, this time, don’t go inside the portal. Inside, follow the path on the right until a brief cutscene plays. Make sure to loot the common chest just a bit further ahead.

Continue moving forward to find another common chest to loot. Then keep moving forward and turn left to find another sprouting branch. Enter the portal after playing the song. Activate the glowing flower to the left, make your way through the transparent bridge, and fire at the vines blocking the path. Pick up the stone on the plant afterward.

Once done, interact with the blue glowing flower to cause it to fire a sigil. Then, make your way up until you reach the Door of Resurrection and interact with it to open it. At this point, all you need to do is to defeat all enemies in the room to complete the mission.
