There are a handful of new additions to Version 2.8 of Genshin Impact, and one of them is a map that was temporarily released back in Version 1.6. Known as the Golden Apple Archipelago, this familiar map has made a comeback in the game, this time as part of Summer Fantasia.

How to Unlock Golden Apple Archipelago 2.8 in Genshin Impact

In the 2.8 update, the Golden Apple Archipelago will come with new features as well as challenges for players to face. One of them includes the Summertime Odyssey event. Since the area is available for a limited time only, you need to unlock it as quickly as possible while it’s still there.

The only way to unlock the Golden Apple Archipelago is to complete the Summertime Odyssey: I quest which will become available on the 15th of July. Before that, you won’t be able to access the area by any means.

Apart from that, you should also meet certain requirements in order to unlock the area in the first place. First off, you need to be at least Adventurer Rank 32. Also, you need to complete Mona’s Story Quest as well as Archon Quest “Chapter II: Prologue – Autumn Winds, Scarlet Leaves”.

What to Expect in the Golden Apple Archipelago

You can find a good number of fun events in the area. One notable example is Summertime Odyssey which comes with Phantom Realm and Waverider challenges. Completing these challenges will grant you various rewards such as Primogems and more.

There’s also the Resonating Visions event. This one allows you to get a free Fischl outfit in exchange for some Phantasmal Conches. Then there’s the co-op Reminiscent Regiment event where you have to team up with another player to complete various challenges.
