Wilds of Talandre didn’t just add new areas and enemies to fight. This update also brought with it a lot of new Tier 2 (T2) equipment, as well as a lot of balance changes. While we don’t think it was quite enough to fully turn the game’s meta on its head, there are definitely a lot of new things to consider when picking your weapon combination.
In this article, we’ll give you a tier list ranking every weapon combination in Tier 2 content and give you our reasoning.

After all, the update included a massive number of changes that everyone has to adjust to! As such, don’t take tier lists as straight-up facts, including our own.
Another consideration is that our tier list attempts to rank weapon combinations based on every game mode available. Certain weapons excel more in certain modes and activities, so their overall value might vary depending on what you focus on (primarily PvP vs PvE).
With that said, our tier list is based on the overall synergy and versatility of each weapon combination. Combinations that synergize well, such as Sword & Shield + Greatsword and Sword & Shield + Wand & Tome, have always been good and they weren’t really affected by the latest update.
What this means is that we consider our S Tier and A Tier to be the meta picks, based on what most players agree is strong. The lower tiers are instead more off-meta picks. They don’t perform well in most game modes due to having worse synergies between the weapons and being less versatile. If you’re just looking to go with the best of the best, you can’t go wrong with any combination in the S and A tiers!
