Xenoblade Chronicles 3 follows the spirit of typical RPGs in the sense that it has a variety of optional quests you can complete. In fact, most of the side quests you can encounter in the game will be your typical run-of-the-mill JRPG quests.

One of these quests is called Rules of the Hunt, and in order to complete it, you will need to collect 10 Monstrum Mango and 10 Obsidian Berries. In this guide, I’ll show you where you can find these items:

The side quest Rules of the Hunt will task you with collecting 10 Monstrum Mango and Obsidian Berries each. To start the quest, you need to head over to the canteen in Colony 11. Here, you will get an info for Easel’s Unit which you can then discuss in the table.

Obsidian Berries

For the Obsidian Berries, you have to head over to this part in the Pentalas region:

You can start from the Engardo Pass Camp and make your way to the region indicated on the map. From there, you just have to look for exclamation marks on the ground. Loot them and you will obtain an Obsidian Berry.

Monstrum Mango

For the Monstrum Mango, simply head to this location on the map:

You can start from Colony Tau Entrance and then make your way northwest until you arrive at this point. Unlike the Obsidian Berry, you won’t see any exclamation mark for the Monstrum Mango. Instead, what you want to do is loot the glowing fruits on the ground for a chance of looting the item.

After collecting the necessary items, head back to Hexen in order to complete the quest.
