How to Find Dread Crab Location | Path of Exile 2
You can find the Dread Crab location at Whakapanu Island in Act 4 of the main campaign. Like other similar points of interest in the game, it will appear on the world map as a skull icon.
As for the actual place you need to find within Whakapanu Island, the exact location is random. Much like nearly everything else in Path of Exile 2, the Whakapanu Island zone is procedurally generated! As such, the exact location for things like the Dread Crab varies and isn’t set in stone.
That said, you’ll know you’re in the right place when you find a circular area called Crabshell Cavern. This little area always has a Checkpoint for you to use, as well. From what we know, this little landmark seems to favor spawning somewhere in the southern section of Whakapanu Island. So, we recommend exploring there first.

Once you spot that area, approach the cavern itself. It’s covered in discarded shells, as its name implies! The Clawcrunch boss will spawn as soon as you walk in front of the cavern. It’s not a particularly tough boss, but that’s the so-called Dread Crab! Kill it to mark this point of interest as completed.
