Genshin Impact: Where to Find All Udumbara Pistil Locations

One of the new quests in Genshin Impact’s 3.6 update will have you collecting the pistils of Udumbara flowers.

These are hidden in a section of the new Girdle of the Sands area in Sumeru.

If you’re having trouble finding them by yourself, this guide will tell you where to find all 6 of them!

Where to Find All Udumbara Pistil in Genshin Impact

You can obtain all of the Udumbara Pistils the same way: use the new gadget companion Sorush to open up flowers, then reach the opened flower to pick it up.

You should get them for the Pale Fire quest in the new Girdle of Sands area of Sumeru. At this point, you should already have Sorush with you!

After all, Sorush is obtained by completing the very first quest of the region. If you have yet to get any of these quests or gadgets, progress through the region’s quest chains first.

Anyway, there are a total of 6 pistils for you to find, and all of them are found on the cliffs by the Asipattravana Swamp.

They are marked by glowing yellow heart-shaped spots, and they are activated in the same way: use Sorush to fly over to it, then hold the Interact Skill button to make the Udumbara flower appear.

Then, you will need to navigate your character toward the plant so they can pick up the pistil. It’s pretty simple once you know where to look, honestly.

Now, let’s go over where to find each of these special pistils!

Udumbara Pistil #1

This pistil is on the southern side of the swamp on the side of a large rocky formation.

As said in the introduction, you will need to use Sorush! Make sure she’s your active gadget and then use the prompt at the bottom of the screen to control her.

Make Sorush activate the Udumbara flower, as instructed in the introductory section of this guide.

Now, use your character to grapple to the nearby grapple point on the rock, then jump onto the flower you just appeared. Pick up the pistil and you’re done here.

Udumbara Pistil #2

This second pistil is on the northern cliff of the swamp. If you just picked up the first pistil, look to the north and you should see it on the wall in front of you.

As before, use Sorush to interact with the hidden flower to make it appear. Then use the grapple points to navigate your character onto the top of the cliff, overlooking the flower.

Jump down onto the Udumbara flower and grab the pistil.

Udumbara Pistil #3

The third pistil is also on the northern cliff of the swamp east of the second. It’s also fairly high up, so you may need to climb and glide to reach it.

The flower’s spot protrudes somewhat from the wall, so you can fall onto it if you wish! You can even activate Sorush from here. Alternatively, there’s a clearing further to the east that you can also use.

Either way, use Sorush to make the flower appear and then maneuver your character onto the flower as before. Pick up this pistil and you’re halfway done.

Udumbara Pistil #4

This one is found high up on the cliff to the north of the swamp.

The easiest way to reach it is by gliding to it from the road atop the cliff close to the Hills of Barsom. Try to land on the circular protrusion where the heart-shaped glow is.

Have Sorush activate the flower and jump onto it with your character to get the pistil.

Udumbara Pistil #5

The fifth pistil is pretty close to the ground level, but it’s also on the northern cliff wall close to the swamp. This one is on the western side, by comparison to the fourth one.

You can either glide down from the road atop the cliff as before, or you can climb up here from the swamp itself.

Either way, you will see the heart-shaped glow slightly above a rocky formation. Make Sorush activate the flower then climb up to it with your character to grab the pistil. Only one more to go!

Udumbara Pistil #6

If you’ve been following the order laid out in this guide, this is your last Udumbara Pistil!

This one is found along the cliffs to the southwest of the swamp. It’s most easily reached by using the western Teleport Waypoint and gliding down toward it.

If you choose to glide down to it, remember to look toward the cliff wall so that you can easily spot the mark!

Have Sorush bring out the flower one last time and then maneuver your character onto it to gather this last pistil. Congratulations, you’re done!
