Enshrouded’s latest update has added a ton of new items in the game for you to find and collect. Fossils are new collectible items that you can find all throughout Embervale. As they are collectible items, each fossil in this game is unique and can be found at fixed locations.
In this guide, we will be looking at all the fossils that you can find in Embervale’s Springlands Biome.
All Fossils in the Springlands Biome
The Springlands Biome in Embervale has a total of 5 different fossils that you can find and collect. All of these fossils are spread out around the biome, with some being very difficult to find.
For our guide, we will be looking at the map location for each fossil, and alongside that, where to mine them from. So, without further ado, let’s get straight into it.
Fossil 1 – Big Ammonite
For the Big Ammonite fossil, you will need to make your way to the Saline Quarry area. This area can be found just east of the Cinder Vault.
You will find the Big Ammonite on top of a salt deposit at the marked location. Once you’ve found the Big Ammonite, you can collect it by simply walking up to it and pressing E on your keyboard.
Fossil 2 – Sea Urchin Cluster
The map above shows the exact location of the Sea Urchin Cluster. You can get to this point by traveling southwest from the Low Meadows Ancient Spire.
Once you get to the marked location, you will see a wooden structure in front of you. Climb onto it to get to the Sea Urchin Cluster.
Climbing the structure will lead you straight to the Sea Urchin Cluster. Like before, you can get this fossil by simply collecting it.
Fossil 3 – Elevated Sea Urchin
For the Elevated Sea Urchin, you will need to travel a little bit to the south from the Low Meadows Ancient Spire.
Unlike the fossils we’ve seen so far, the Elevated Sea Urchin can be a bit hard to find. This is due to the fossil being well hidden between a bunch of rocks. The image above shows the exact cluster of rocks you need to go up to collect the Elevated Sea Urchin.
Fossil 4 – Ammonite Imprint
For the Ammonite Imprint, you will need to make your way to the Critter Nest seen on the map above. You can find this nest right next to the Egerton Salt Mines.
In order to get inside the Critter Nest, start at the southern entrance of the Egerton Salt Mines and follow the path in front of you.
Following this path will get you to a wooden ledge. Drop all the way down from here using the platforms in front of you.
Once you are down, follow the path marked in the image above.
Following this path will eventually lead you to a set of wooden stairs. Make your way up these stairs and you will find the entrance to the Critters Nest right in front of you.
Enter the nest and drop down to find the Ammonite Imprint waiting for you on the wall in front of you.
Fossil 5 – Round Sea Urchin
For the final fossil in the Springlands Biome, make your way to the waypoint highlighted in the image above. You can get to this point by traveling northwest from Ancient Spire – Springlands.
Once you get to the marked location, you will find a cave entrance that will be blocked by a bunch of rubble. The Round Sea Urchin is buried inside this rubble, so you will need to mine your way to it.
Hitting the rubble 2-3 times with your pickaxe will clear up most of it, allowing you to collect the Round Sea Urchin.
