If you’re looking for a place to set up a base on the Isle of Siptah in Conan Exiles, there are quite a few locations that compete for the best possible spot.

There are many things to consider when picking a spot, after all. You want somewhere that makes it easy to get to other key places, while also being close to useful resources you need to gather.

In this guide, I’ll give you a list of 5 recommended base locations within the Isle of Siptah!

Best Base Locations in the Isle of Siptah

Violet Isle

If you love some nice vibes, the Violet Isle might be the best spot for you. It’s one of the prettiest spots in the entirety of Siptah, making it a nice place to set up base for the aesthetics.

Aside from aesthetics, the Violet Isle also has a fairly nice share of resources nearby. There are various metals around the rim of the lake and the nearby cliffsides, primarily.

Additionally, you’ll be close to various vaults and there’s even a nearby camp that you can visit to get some thralls, if you need them.

All in all, not a bad spot by any means! Great aesthetics and solid resource availability make it an easy pick.

The Claws Lake

If the idea of a central base in Siptah sounds appealing to you, the lake in The Claws is a pretty solid spot choice. It’s fairly accessible and well-positioned on the map!

One thing that makes this base solid is that you have a lot of surrounding creatures that you can kill for Thick Hides. If you’re in need of those, keep that in mind.

Similarly, metals and Coal are fairly plentiful in the immediate vicinity of the area, so you’re not missing out on those either. If you travel out a bit more, you can even get other useful resources like Brimstone.

But, ultimately, what makes this base location shine is just how it’s fairly close to the center of the map. Pick this one if you want a base that feels like it’s never too far from a lot of key POIs!

Baywatch

This next base spot is one in the southernmost part of Siptah, just west of the Baywatch Camp. It’s another base location that is fairly central and has a nice, clear view of the rest of Siptah.

Similar to the previous base on this list, you’re fairly close to the center of the map in this spot. You’re just south of The Tower, after all.

There is also a fair amount of metal around the base location in the plateau. Plus, you have one vault fairly close by, which also has Crystal nodes on its exterior.

Most remarkably, though, this base location is fairly close to multiple camps. If you pick this spot, you just need to travel a bit east to get a lot of loot and thralls!

It’s also worth noting that you can find another solid base spot close to this one, as well. Just go a bit southwest and you can settle near the whale bones, as an alternative.

Birdmen Field

This spot is close to the Leyshrine of the Birdmen, just a bit northwest of The Tower in the center of the Isle of Siptah.

It’s a fairly flat open field, which makes it easy to build upon. You can also visit the nearby Leyshrine of the Birdmen and various vaults for loot and thralls whenever you feel like it.

The local fauna is also fairly useful, as there are large creatures you can kill for resources like Thick Hides. Primarily the Antediluvian Elephants, which are quite common in the area.

That aside, the area is also great for Brimstone farming. You can also find Coal and various metals around the area.

Most importantly, though, this base location is also pretty close to the Camp of the Castaways in the north. Makes it easy to visit it, and also makes it easy to return to the Exiled Lands since an Adherent of the Outer Dark lives there.

Waterfall Cave

Last but not least, this is a pretty unique base location you can find just west of The Southwood in the eastern part of the Isle of Siptah.

What makes this one unique is, as the name says, it’s a cave behind a waterfall! If all of the other bases are far too open for your tastes, this sneaky cave might be a better fit for you.

The cave is also in a pretty neat spot, although it doesn’t have as many plentiful resources nearby. At least, compared to the other spots on this list. That said, you can easily find Brimstone and Iron close to the cave.

So, ultimately, this is your best bet if you simply love the fantasy of living behind a waterfall. Nicely tucked away and hidden from all.

There you have it! Those are the best locations to set up a base on the Isle of Siptah in Conan Exiles. I hope at least one of these recommendations suits your tastes.
