After that, you will move to the next material which is iron. At some point, you will also get unlock steel.

That said, using steel as a base material makes everything tough. What more if it is made up of hardened steel?

To get this material, you will need extra items as ingredients other than steel itself. Plus, you also need to use different crafting stations such as the furnace, cauldron, fluid press, and tannery.

To make hardened steel, you need regular steel and black ice. One piece of each ingredient can make a piece of hardened steel.

Once you have both of the ingredients, you can throw both of them into the furnace, and in no time, you will have your own hardened steel.

Hardened steel is used to make different armor and weapons. This includes boots, gauntlets, helmets, shields, longswords, picks, sickles, and so on.

The reason why it is recommended to use hardened steel to make them is that it is one of the strongest materials that you can find in the game. Plus, obtaining it is pretty easy.
