Completing this quest will grant you access to a second hidden merchant in the game. Similar to the King of Thieves, there’s a high chance that you’ll miss this character during your first playthrough.
In this guide, I’ll show you where exactly you can find him and how you can complete Dani’s quest.
2nd Hidden Merchant Location | The Dead One Quest and Key Location in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Forgotten Saga
In order to find Dani the Dead One, you need to head over to the next zone after defeating the first boss who rules the first zone. After finding and talking to him, he will give you a hidden side quest called Dark Dealings in which he’ll task you with freeing his crew.
To complete the quest, you need to find a key. However, the random nature of things in the Forgotten Saga update means that the location will vary from one playthrough to another.

After getting the key, the next step is to head over to where Dani’s crew is. You can find them on the right side before heading over to the second boss’s arena. Here, you will find them caged, and you just have to unlock their cages using the key.
Once you have freed up Dani’s crew, simply go back and talk to him in order to complete the quest. Now, you can gain access to the second hidden merchant’s location.
Getting to the Second Hidden Merchant
Shortly after completing the quest, you will notice a pouch with the golden key appearing on your map. That will be the indicator for the hidden merchant. To get there, you have to ride down the zipline to get to the mountain on the other side. Then, use the lift to go up the platform, and enter the small tunnel in front of you.
This tunnel will lead you to a mine of some sort. Keep heading forward until you come across a small flight of stairs. Instead of going up the stairs, turn right until you see a small ledge to the left. Drop down that ledge and go through a small crevice then keep going forward.
You should eventually come across the second hidden merchant named Dar alongside his wares.
