Developers have added a new mechanic in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla update 1.6.1. It’s a brand new building that you can build in Ravensthorpe in England. A new prompt will appear once you log in introducing you to Runes.

Runes add an amazing unique perk or a boost to the player once equipped. However, since the mechanic is new, a lot of players are confused about how to exactly craft Runes.

This guide will clear up the confusion and teach you how to craft runes. Let’s dive in

How to Craft Runes?

Once you load up your updated Assasins Creed: Valhalla update 1.6.1, you will be prompted about the new Rune Forge. To find it, you can use your Raven to find it.  You will notice that it’s situated at the very back of your settlement.

To build the Rune Forge, you need 600 Foreign supplies. You can collect Foreign supplies by accomplishing River Raids.

Once you’ve built it, you will immediately notice a man named Hauk that will engrave Runes for you. To ask him to engrave runes for you,  speak to him and you will need silver.

Open the forge menu, you will see two options,  Engrave and Sell. Engrave is where you’ll create Runes that copy a perk from gears like weapons or armor. Meanwhile, the Sell tab is the place to sell any of the runes you have collected in your journey.

It’s important to know that Hauk cannot create brand-new runes with new perks for the player. He can merely copy the perks of the gear and create runes with them.
