Mount Gjallar is one of the zones in the Roya Frostlands in Wuthering Waves that has plenty of collectibles to find. Here, you can find a total of 7 Tape of Last Words collectibles, with most of them hidden deep inside Ginnungamere.
These Tapes of Last Words are part of the Version 3.1 exploration collectibles that were introduced in Lahai-Roi. You can exchange them through Arsenio once you unlock the Purify the Tapes of Last Words objective.
That said, if you’re planning to collect all 7 of these Tapes in this area, this guide is for you. Let’s get started.
Near Upphaf Forest Ruins
To kick things off, go to the southeastern part of the road close to the Upphaf Forest Ruins. You should see the Tape of Last Words floating above the purple ruin arches, as shown in the video below.
This is one of the easier collectibles to get, as you can just glide toward it from the nearby cliffs. No advanced movement tech needed.
Inside Ginnungamere – North
For this one, head inside Ginnungamere through the nearby entrance and warp to the Resonance Beacon there, then go straight north. Follow the route shown in the video below.
From there, move north while staying close to the rocky edge of the cavern. You’ll find the Tape floating above a narrow platform area, which is easy to miss if you move too quickly through the zone.
You can use your Grapple to make this section a lot easier.
Inside Ginnungamere – Center, 2-for-1
While you’re still inside Ginnungamere, go towards the center of it. The center contains 2 Tapes of Last Words right next to each other, making this the most efficient section of the route.
Head toward the flooded structure near the middle of the cavern. You’ll find one Tape floating near the outer side of the building. Meanwhile, the second Tape just sits nearby above the waterline.
Due to Ginnungamere’s verticality, you can accidentally glide below the collectibles instead of toward them. I recommend staying high before jumping to make it easier to pick up both of them.
Inside Ginnungamere – South
This Tape of Last Words is high up inside the southern part of Ginnungamere. It’s along the edge of the area, close to a large stalactite. You can reach it easily by gliding toward it from the north, as shown below.
The easiest approach is to glide from the northern side instead of climbing directly upward. This gets faster if you have already activated the nearby Resonance Beacon earlier.
You’ll know you’re in the correct spot when you see the Tape floating close to the cavern wall.
Inside Ginnungamere – Southeast
Most players tend to miss this one as it blends into the rocky terrain around the southeastern corner of Ginnungamere. For this one, go to the southeastern corner of the area.
You can find the Tape floating above the tip of a rock going north, as shown in the video below.
Try approaching from higher ground instead of underneath. The vertical air movement inside the area can sometimes make upward recovery awkward if you overshoot the glide.
North of Mount Gjallar
For the last Tape of Last Words here, it’s time to finally get out of Ginnungamere and head north of Mount Gjallar itself. You’ll find the Tape floating high above the road going northeast there.
Follow the clip shown below for an easy way to reach it.
This one is also close to several other exploration points around the mountain. I recommend checking the nearby routes as well before you even leave the area.
As you can see, out of the 7 collectibles, 5 can be found inside Ginnugamere alone, making it the one of the densest locations for collectibles in Roya Frostlands.
That’s all of the Tape of Last Words locations in the Mount Gjalla area in Wuthering Waves! While you’re at it, you should collect the Tapes at Upphaff Forest Ruins. It’s pretty close by, after all.
