Roya Frostlands is a new sub-region of Lahai-Roi that you can unlock in Wuthering Waves 3.1.
This sub-region is part of the game’s ongoing story, and it has all of the usual exploration and questing you’ve come to expect by now. It’s also quite cold, as the name might imply!
In this quick guide, I’ll tell you what you need to unlock the Roya Frostlands.
How to Unlock the Roya Frostlands Sub-Region

The Roya Frostlands sub-region unlocks naturally through the main story. More specifically, you’ll need to progress the “The Star That Voyages Far” main story quest. This quest is part of Lahai-Roi: Chapter III – Act III.
Since it’s part of the main story, it’s unmissable! However, there is no way to skip to the Roya Frostlands. You’ll need to progress through the Lahai-Roi story naturally until you get here.

If you wish to skip ahead a bit, you can use the “Next Stop: Lahai-Roi” event. This allows you to skip straight to the start of the Lahai-Roi story (Chapter III Act I). It just requires you to have completed “First Resonance” during Chapter I Act I of the game.
Please note that you don’t miss out on anything by using the event’s skip feature. The story might get confusing, but you’ll always be able to resume the story in Chapter I Act I when you wish to do so.
As for the “The Star That Voyages Far” quest, it’s a pretty straightforward one. It is lengthy, however, requiring a lot of walking, talking, and fighting. But it is still quite simple, so I recommend just tracking it in your quest log to get through it with ease.

Early into the quest, you’ll need to wait for a train at the Starward Riseway. Do so and a cutscene will play, introducing you to the new Roya Frostlands sub-region!
At this point, you just need to do as the game instructs and ride into the frostlands with your Expedition Motorbike. From that point on, the Roya Frostlands will be yours to explore.
So, there you have it! Much like other regions in Wuthering Waves, all you really need to do to unlock the Roya Frostlands is to progress through the story. Don’t rush to get into the new region, though, enjoy the story!
