All Aerial Capture Locations in Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores

Aerial Captures are a new type of collectible in Horizon Forbidden West’s Burning Shores DLC.

You will find some sort of signal transmitter at each one of these locations. Interact with it to show a flight path. Follow it on your Waterwing to activate the aerial capture and see a recording.

In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find each one of the 6 Aerial Captures!

Aerial Capture: North

This is the first one you should try to get, but we warned that it’s known to be glitchy. This is also why you want to get it over with before the others.

Make absolutely sure to make a manual save at a campfire before starting this one. If it glitches out for you, you can just reload that save and try again.

You can find the start for this Aerial Capture off a serpentine trail at the very northmost part of the map.

Use Focus to spot the signal transmitter, then just approach it and interact with it to make the flight path appear. Follow this flight path to find the Aerial Capture itself.

Aerial Capture: East

The signal transmitter for this one is on a broken bridge in the eastern part of the Burning Shores around Pangea Park.

As always, use Focus to locate the transmitter and activate it, then just follow the flight path with your Waterwing.

Aerial Capture: Northeast

Head to the area shown on the map above and look for red patches of grass. You will find the signal transmitter inside an open cave resting on a ledge close to a wall.

Aerial Capture: Northwest

This one is within a city’s ruins. Look for a big tower that has a breakable wall on its side. The wall will be marked with a big glowing X, so it should be easy to spot.

Break down the wall and you will find the signal transmitter inside the building.

Aerial Capture: West

Head to the western point of the map by the sea. Fly up into the sky until you spot a Stormbird. The Stormbird Site might be marked on your map already.

Chase the Stormbird and shoot it down, then finish it off if it’s still alive when it hits the ground.

With the Stormbird dead, look for a small building with a large rusty door on the island. The signal transmitter is found inside this tiny building.

Aerial Capture: South

This is the last of these collectibles, and you can only obtain it after you’ve already found the other 5 ones.

This one will be marked on your map as soon as you grab the previous 5 Aerial Captures, so you just need to fly to the spot marked with an eye.

Hop on your Waterwing and follow the last flight path while listening to a recording and you’re done. Completing this Aerial Capture will get you the “Recovered All Aerial Captures” bronze trophy.
