Terraria: How to Unlock All New Achievements in 1.4.4

The Labor of Love Update in Terraria is finally here! The highly-anticipated update includes many new features and improvements. Every Terraria update also includes a fun and exciting new set of Achievements that are ready to be unlocked by the average achievement hunter.

So get your adventure hats ready, and let’s take dive into how to unlock all the new achievements on the Labor or Love Update!

How to Unlock All New Achievements?

Terraria has added quite a couple of new achievements. Let’s go through all of them one by one and learn how to unlock each of them. For an overview, here are all the new achievements in the latest update.

• An eye for an eye
• Torchgod
• Black Mirror
• Feast of Midas
• Accumulation complete
• Unusual survival strategies
• A rare realm
• A shimmer in the dark
• To infinity and beyond
• And good riddance
• The great slime mitosis

An Eye for an Eye

Earlier this year, the boss Deerclops was added to the game. Interestingly enough, unlike other bosses defeating Deerclops did not have an achievement for when you defeat him.

An Eye for an Eye achievement changes this. To get this achievement, all you need to do is defeat the Deerclops boss.

Torchgod

Similar to the previous achievement, this newly added achievement adds an achievement to an already existing accomplishment. You can get this achievement if you survive the Torchgod event.

Torchgod can be summoned when you place 100 or more torches underground. Standing near the torches you placed will trigger the Torchgod to appear.

Black Mirror

This achievement is attained by crafting a Cell Phone.

The Cell Phone is a very powerful item. However, it takes patience to find the necessary resources as some of its materials are time-consuming to find.

Feast of Midas

You can get this achievement by crafting a Golden Delight. It’s the most potent potion in the game. The buff lasts for 48 minutes and requires several Gold Animals like Gold Bird and Gold Bunny to craft it.

Accumulation Complete

This achievement can be completed once you craft an Ankh shield. It requires an Obsidian Shield and an Ankh Charm to craft it.

Unusual Survival Strategies

This one’s unusual(hence, the name). You can get it by drinking a water bottle while drowning. Yeah, I know, It’s pretty strange.

A Rare Realm

This can be achieved by creating and then entering a secret seed world.  

There are many secret world seeds. One of which is a reference to Terraria’s 9th birthday.

A Shimmer in the Dark

This achievement is completed by transmuting an item into the Shimmer Liquid.

 The Liquid can be found in the Aether cave biome on the jungle side of the world.

To Infinity and Beyond

This is quite a weird Achievement as well. To achieve this, you need to use the Kwad Racer item and fly it past the screen border in space.

You can purchase this item from the Cyborg. The Kwad Racer behaves exactly like a drone.

And Good Riddance

This is one of the most difficult achievements in the new Terraria update. It can be obtained by purifying the world from all corruption, crimson and hollow.

Once you have accomplished this, you ask the Dryad about the status of your world to completely finish the achievement.

The Great Slime Mitosis

This is by far the most difficult one to achieve. This is completed by collecting every new  Town Slime. There are 8 Town Slimes in total.

Each Slime has its own way of being collected. I’ve included a quick guide below on how to get each one.

• Diva Slime – obtained by throwing a sparkled slime balloon in the shimmer
• Squire Slime – give a regular slime a copper helmet
• Mystic Slime – throwing purification powder on a mystic frog
• Nerdy Slime – defeat the king slime
• Clumsy Slime –  can be found floating from a balloon in space. Simply shoot the balloon to free him.
• Cool Slime – has a chance to move in after a Party
• Elder Slime – found in the Cavern Layer locked inside a shaking chest that requires a golden key to open it
• Surly Slime –  can be fished up during a Blood moon

After you get all  8 Slimes, then you would be able to accomplish the Great Slime Mitosis achievement.
