Super Sonic is a playable character in both Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles in Sonic Origins. Players can transform into Sonic’s supercharged form, Super Sonic, in both the original titles and the remastered versions of Sonic Origins, which brings together legendary vintage games from the Sega Genesis and Megadrive: Sonic the Hedgehog 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD.
How to Unlock Super Sonic in Sonic Origins
Sonic changes into Super Sonic when the Chaos Emeralds’ strength is combined with his regular blue quick form. Sonic becomes super-fast and impervious when he transforms into Super Sonic.
The Chaos Emeralds are seven potent gems that appear throughout the franchise, and historically, Sonic cannot change until he has collected all of them. You can become Super Sonic when all the seven Chaos Emeralds are merged. The Chaos Emeralds are legendary, ancient artifacts.
Unlocking Super Sonic
In Sonic 2, you can transform by collecting all seven Chaos Emeralds, at least 50 rings, and jumping while pressing a specific button in midair. Press triangle on the Playstation. Press Y on your Xbox. Press X on the Switch.
The music alters to reflect the change as Super Sonic. When Sonic runs out of rings or passes away, the impression of the ring count slowly decreasing wears off. In Sonic 2, the Chaos Emeralds can be discovered at each checkpoint.
In Sonic 3 & Knuckles, you must find Giant Rings to obtain the seven Chaos Emeralds. You will be taken to a checkboard stage named Blue Spheres by a Giant Ring. Sonic receives a Chaos Emerald after solving the problem of collecting all the blue spheres without touching any red ones. You can change Sonic into Super Sonic after obtaining all seven Chaos Emeralds in a manner reminiscent of Sonic 2’s mechanism.
