Minecraft: How to Add Gems to Weapons and Gear | Gem Crafting Guide

Using mods in playing Minecraft is pretty common for gamers. Aside from the fact that it makes the game more exciting, they are also able to experiment more with their creativity.

One of the popular mods in Minecraft is Apotheosis. One thing you can do with it is add gems to both your weapon and gear. Here, we are going to show you how it is done.

Gem Crafting Guide in Minecraft

In Gem Crafting, the first thing that you must know is having three different tables that you will use. Namely, these are the Smithing Table, Salvaging Table, and the Reforging Table. Also, anvils are also important.

Take note that both anvil and the Smithing Table will be unlocked after you defeat the third boss from the main quest line of the Guild Master.

How to Add Gem to your Gear or Weapon in Minecraft

In adding the gem to your gear or weapon, you must first find an item that has an empty socket. You can check if an item has an empty pocket by hovering over it.

On the bottom part of the descriptions, you should see the Empty Socket text.

You can get these kinds of items from Loot Chests and Dungeons as drops.

Once you have already found the perfect item for that, simply place it in the first slot above, then the gem that you want to add on the next empty slot. Now that the gem was added, drag the product to your inventory.

Removing the Gem

However, if you have mistakenly added the wrong gem to your item, what you have to do here is use either the Vial of Arcane Extraction or the Vial of Searing Expulsion.

These two are both pretty expensive to produce and also require gem dust. That being said, you must be extra careful not to mistakenly put the wrong gem.

All you have to do is place the item with the gem on the first slot, and the vial of your choice on the second slot. Once they are both in there, you will get the item back.

However, there is a difference between the two vials. The Vial of Arcane Extraction will remove the gem but will destroy the weapon or your gear.

The Vial of Searing Expulsion, on the other hand, will remove the weapon or gear but will destroy the gem.
