Preordering the Madden Edition will allow you to get one of 4 players. They are the only players that have special abilities when the game releases. They are as follow:
- Barry Sanders
- Kam Chancellor (a community favorite and is currently considered the best)
- Cooper Kupp
- Micah Parsons
In the rookie premiere fantasy pack, you can choose from either of the following players:
- Kaiir Elam
- Kayvon Thibodeaux
- Breece Hall
- Tyquan Thornton or Chris Olave
The Elite Headliners player pack that can be received when pre-ordering the All Madden Edition on August 18 will have the following players up for grabs:
- Mykal Walker
- Milton Williams

- Caleb Farley (best to pick out of all of them according to most players)
Headliners Field Pass will also have an 86 over Headliners Hero Fantasy pack which includes these players:

Team Captains are also free characters. They include:
- Keyshawn Johnson
- Larry Csonka
- Sam Adams
- Eric Allen
The Field Pass features players as rewards, but there is still no information about which players are included in the pass.
