If you want to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as early as possible, you’ll need to make use of the classic New Zealand method.

Using this method, you can change your account’s region to New Zealand. Why? Well, because it has the earliest release time for the game! In New Zealand, Black Ops 6 launched at 4:00 AM PT / 7:00 AM ET / 12:00 PM BST this October 24th. It’s over 10 hours earlier than every other region!

Read on and we’ll tell you everything you need to know to make use of this method so you can play Black Ops 6 as early as possible.

How to Play Black Ops 6 Early on All Platforms

Before We Start | Disclaimers

Before we dive into the details of this method, we want to remind you that this is technically a small exploit. As such, it could be patched out at any time. This would force you to play Black Ops 6 at the proper time for your region.

Additionally, there should be no risk of ban from doing this. Nonetheless, we won’t be held responsible if anything does happen to your account. In short, do this at your own risk!

Lastly, there isn’t a workaround to play Black Ops 6 early on either Steam or BattleNet besides being invited by someone who’s already playing the game.

Activision Account Setup to Play Black Ops 6 Early on All Platforms

The first thing you need to do to play Black Ops 6 early on any platform is to change your Activision account’s region to New Zealand. As we mentioned previously, this is due to the game releasing first in that region. It will be available at 4:00 AM PT / 7:00 AM ET / 12:00 PM BST this October 24th.

To change your Activision account’s region, go to the official Call of Duty website and log in to your Activision account. Once you’re logged in, click on your username in the top right and select “Basic Info” from the drop-down box.

Next, click on “Edit” next to Address and input any address from New Zealand. Ideally, your address should be unique. We recommend using a service such as Google Maps to find a useable address from a business.

For PlayStation players, this is all you need to do. You don’t need to make any extra changes at all to either your account or system. All that’s left for you to do is wait for the launch! Check the Call of Duty HQ app to confirm that the timer changed to the new region.

Extra Steps for Xbox

Aside from the Activision account changes, those of you on Xbox will also need to change the console’s region. To start, go to the console Settings menu.

From there, select “System” and then “Language & Location”.

Then, select New Zealand from the “Location” drop-down and restart your Xbox console. You should be all good to go now! Wait for the New Zealand release time and you should be able to launch the game normally through the Call of Duty HQ app.

Extra Steps for PC Gamepass

Similar to the Xbox version of this method, you’ll need to change your computer’s region to New Zealand if you wish to play Black Ops 6 early via PC Gamepass. To start, type “Region Settings” into the Search Bar and click on it.

Then, select New Zealand from the “Country or Region” dropdown. You shouldn’t need to restart your PC at this point, but you can do so if you want to be sure that the change took place.

Once that’s done, look for Black Ops 6 on the Windows Store and you should see that the timer now reflects the New Zealand launch time!

That brings us to the end of this guide, but you now know everything you need to be able to use the New Zealand method to play Black Ops 6 as early as possible. Only a few hours left before the game is available thanks to this trick!

Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
