How to Get to the Abyss in Hollow Knight
The Abyss is a hidden location found under the Ancient Basin and is considered the lowest area in all of Hallownest. The Abyss is the origin of the Void, a substance found at the bottom part of the place.
In this area, you will find a lot of corpses of failed vessels and their shades. To access the Abyss, simply follow the steps below.

Locating the abyss is pretty straightforward, but entering it requires you to kill a monster. You can find the entrance to the Abyss at the bottom of the Ancient Basin, as shown in the picture above. If you already have access to the area on your map, you can see the Abyss’ location once you zoom in.
If not, simply go to the bottom of the site and unlock the door, which requires The King’s Brand. You can obtain this item in Kingdom’s Edge after defeating the Hornet guarding it.
