Although you might’ve heard about sponsors in Descenders, the game doesn’t tell you very much about them. But, once you know what to do, you’ll realize that getting a sponsorship is not that difficult.
How to Get a Sponsor in Descenders
As you’ll be playing the career mode, at some point a tri-colored symbol will cover one of the stage nodes. Selecting that stage will bring up a menu showcasing all the three sponsors you can work for.
Each of them favors a different playstyle. Arboreal is all about leaving the track and exploring the stages, Enemy focuses on the many stunts you can do and Kinetic wants you to speed down the track as fast as possible.
Why does that matter?
Because the sponsors will give you different missions centered around what each sponsor is most interested in.
Signing a Contract
Once you’ve chosen which sponsor you want to work with, simply complete the stage. After that, you’ll need to repeat this process two more times, before the sponsor will offer you a contract.
Once you sign it, you’ll be given three random daily sponsor tasks. These can be completed only in the career mode and daily challenge mode. Completing those will give you a bunch of new skins you can use to customize your rider.
Unfortunately, that’s all sponsors do in the game. Although the skins they offer are pretty cool, you don’t need to feel pressured to do their tasks. And if you simply want to speedrun the career mode, you can skip this process entirely.
