Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix is here and it brings some noticeable changes to how controllers feel, so it’s important to keep up with the best settings if you want to have a reliable aim.
This update seems to have made Aim Assist stronger across the board, for one. Additionally, they’ve also added a new aim sensitivity multiplier when using scoped weapons. While these don’t necessarily make your old settings obsolete entirely, you’ll probably notice that your aim feels “off” at first… but our recommended settings can help you get back on track!
In this guide, we’ll tell you all our recommended settings to ensure you have the best possible experience when playing with a controller.

Before we dive into the best controller settings for Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix, we will first give you our recommendations for settings under the “Game” tab. These settings affect the overall fluidity of controls. We’re looking to minimize unnecessary inputs so you can take action faster. So, they’re very closely tied to controller settings! Aside from these settings, also note that you really want to avoid using Gyro Aiming this season. It’s just not as reliable as it should be, so we recommend turning it off under the “Touch and Motion” tab if you have a gyro-enabled controller.
Aside from that, keep in mind that these are just our recommended settings. Feel free to adjust things based on your preferences if anything feels off. Also, speaking of preferences, we know some players prefer either Linear or Exponential for their Look Input Curve. So, we’ll provide the best controller settings for both types of players!
But first, let’s go over the general controller settings that apply to both aiming styles.

As we just mentioned, there are some settings that work equally well for both Linear and Exponential. No matter what style you prefer, make sure to give these recommended settings a go:

Now, let’s dive into settings specific to either Linear or Exponential aiming!
Linear Controller Settings
Setting your Look Input Curve to Linear means that the game reads your “raw” inputs. It allows for better consistency since your aim is 1:1 with your stick movements. It’s best for close-quarters and mid-range combat, but it seems to have weaker aim assist than Exponential for long-range.
Anyway, these are the best controller settings for Linear-aim players in Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix:
Sensitivity
Build Mode Sensitivity Multiplier – 1.9x
Edit Mode Sensitivity Multiplier – 2.2x
Advanced – Look Sensitivity
Look Horizontal Speed – 40%
Look Vertical Speed – 40%
Advanced – Sensitivity
Look Dampening Time – 0.09 Seconds
Look Input Curve – Linear
Exponential Controller Settings
Now, last but not least, our best controller settings for Exponential-style aiming in Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix.
Exponential Look Sensitivity basically reduces sensitivity when making smaller stick movements, but also gives you more sensitivity when pushing the stick all the way. It’s a tad harder to get used to than Linear, but it allows for more precision in the right hands. To compensate, it also seems to have slightly stronger Aim Assist.
With that said, here are our recommended settings for Exponential Look Sensitivity:
Sensitivity
Build Mode Sensitivity Multiplier – 2.1x
Edit Mode Sensitivity Multiplier – 2.3x
Advanced – Look Sensitivity
Look Horizontal Speed – 34%
Look Vertical Speed – 44%
Advanced – Sensitivity
Look Dampening Time – 0.00 Seconds
Look Input Curve – Exponential
So, there you have it, that’s our recommended best settings for controller players in Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix. As we mentioned before, though, these are simply recommendations. Feelfree to adjust anything that you feel is a bit off for you. Everyone has different preferences, not to mention that different controllers handle things differently as well.
