The “Social Clues” quest is one of the many quests that you will come across when playing through War Within. In terms of difficulty, this isn’t a very difficult quest to complete, mainly because there’s pretty much 0 combat in it. That said, you will need to talk to a bunch of different characters in various locations for this quest, making it a bit tricky to complete.

In this guide, we will be looking at what you need to do for this quest, and how to complete it. The “Social Clues” quest is also the first quest in the Pawns and Puppetry storyline. So you will need to complete this quest to progress its storyline.

Social Clues Quest Guide

Location for where you need to go to start this quest

You can start the “Social Clues” quest through Orater Tx’itk in the Magistrate’s Office. Orater Tx’itk’s exact location is shown on the map above.

Your objective for this quest will be to help Orater Tx’itk find the missing magistrate. To help him find the magistrate, you will need to ask around and look for any information related to the magistrate. There are a total of 4 people that you will need to talk to for this quest.

Each character can be found very close to the Magistrate’s Office. The game will also provide you with markers to help you find each person. So if you’re not sure on where to go, just check the game’s map to find out.

Profiteer Z’kaxt – Person 1

Talking to the professor

The first person that you will need to find and talk to is Profiteer Z’kaxt. You will find Z’kaxt at his stall just a little bit away from the Magistrate’s Office. When you find him, you can interact with him to ask for information related to the magistrate.

While playing through this quest, you might run into situations where your dialogue options are not working or coming up. This will happen if Orater Tx’itk does not appear alongside you. You can fix this by simply waiting for him to make his way to you. While you are waiting for Tx’itk, you can interact with the puppets found beside each vendor. Investigating each puppet is also an optional objective for the “Social Clues” quest.

Tox – Person #2

Talking to Tox

The next person that you will need to talk to will be Tox, and you will find him inside the Memories of Conquest building. This building will be right in front of Professor Z’kaxt’s stall. So after you are done talking to the professor, turn backward and enter the building in front of you to find Tox.

Like before, you will ask Tox about the missing magistrate.

Van’atka – Person #3

Talking to Van'atka.

After finishing your conversation with Tox, you will need to find Van’atka and talk to him to progress the “Social Clues” quest. Van’atka the Grand Apothecary will be inside the Ascended Solutions building. This building will be less than 100 yards away from the place where Tox is.

Duelist Kahtex – Person #4

Talking to Duelist Kahtex

For the final part of this quest, you will need to find and talk to Duelist Kahtex. Duelist Kahtex can be found at a stall about 130 yards away from the Ascended Solutions building. Like with all people that you need to ask questions from, the game will provide you with a marker to help you get to Durlist Kahtex.

Once you’ve finished your conversation with Duelist Kahtex, you can end the quest and claim your rewards for it by interacting with Orater Tx’itk. Completing this quest will reward you with 23 Gold Coins and 40 Silver Coins. After finishing this quest, interact with Orater Tx’itk again to start the next quest in the Pawns and Puppetry storyline.
