“Plumber Power” is a fairly unique quest in WoW: The War Within, requiring you to solve a set of puzzles involving pipes.
After fixing the pipes for the kobold workers in Gundargaz, you’ll be tasked with also helping them assemble the pipes properly. The only way to do that is by completing three different tile sliding puzzles, everyone’s favorite type of puzzle!
In this guide, we’ll help you complete all of the puzzles for the “Plumber Power” quest.
Plumber Power Quest Guide | WoW: The War Within
“Plumber Power” is part of the “Kobold Culture and Integration” quest line in WoW: The War Within. It becomes available in Gundargaz right after completing the “Pipe Patching” quest. You can start it by talking to Fourman Grimes on the spot marked above. His coordinates are 47.31 and 31.90.
After you start the quest by talking to Fourman Grimes, you’ll need to go northeast in the facility to meet the Tunnel Rat Crew Boss. His coordinates are 48.49 and 31.03.
At this point, you’ll need to complete 3 different tile sliding puzzles involving pipes. Your goal is to make it so that both the left and right sides of the pipes connect.
Here are all three puzzles solved (Right Click > Open in New Tab; to view the images fullscreen):
Puzzle One
For the first one, you’ll want both of the corner pipes in the middle of the puzzle. One of the horizontal pipes is unnecessary, so you can just get it out of the way.
We’ve marked all of the tile numbers in the image above to make explaining the puzzle’s solution easier. Remember, these numbers refer to the tiles and not the pipes themselves. Anyway, here’s the exact step sequence to complete it:
From tile 2 to tile 3.
From tile 5 to tile 2.
From tile 6 to tile 5.
From tile 3 to tile 6.
From tile 2 to tile 3.
From tile 1 to tile 2.
From tile 4 to tile 1.
From tile 5 to tile 4.
From tile 2 to tile 5.
From tile 1 to tile 2.
From tile 4 to tile 1.
From tile 5 to tile 4.
From tile 6 to tile 5.
From tile 3 to tile 6.
And here is how the puzzle looks like solved:
Puzzle Two
The second puzzle is more complex. However, it’s important to note that there are 3 unnecessary pipe pieces you don’t need to worry too much about. You’ll need to make a U shape on the left side using the corner pipes and then use a single horizontal pipe in the middle part on the right. As before, here’s the exact step sequence to complete it:
From tile 4 to tile 5.
From tile 1 to tile 4.
From tile 2 to tile 1.
From tile 3 to tile 2.
From tile 6 to tile 3.
From tile 9 to tile 6.
From tile 8 to tile 9.
From tile 5 to tile 8.
From tile 2 to tile 5.
From tile 3 to tile 2.
From tile 6 to tile 3.
From tile 9 to tile 6.
From tile 8 to tile 9.
From tile 5 to tile 8.
From tile 4 to tile 5.
From tile 7 to tile 4.
From tile 8 to tile 7.
From tile 9 to tile 8.
From tile 6 to tile 9.
From tile 3 to tile 6.
From tile 2 to tile 3.
From tile 1 to tile 2.
From tile 4 to tile 1.
From tile 5 to tile 4.
From tile 8 to tile 5.
From tile 9 to tile 8.
And here is how the puzzle looks like solved:
Puzzle Three
Lastly, the third and final puzzle introduces T-shaped pieces. Nonetheless, it’s simpler than the second one, at the very least! Let’s finish this one up by following this step sequence:
From tile 2 to tile 5.
From tile 1 to tile 2.
From tile 4 to tile 1.
From tile 5 to tile 4.
From tile 8 to tile 5.
From tile 9 to tile 8.
From tile 6 to tile 9.
From tile 3 to tile 6.
From tile 2 to tile 3.
From tile 5 to tile 2.
From tile 4 to tile 5.
From tile 7 to tile 4.
