As it’s a survival shooter game, finding and collecting resources is an integral part of Vigor. Throughout your time in the game, you will find tons of different resources, all serving different purposes.
Metal Parts in Vigor are a basic resource, but at the same time, very important. You will need them all through the game, so its important to get as much as you can. This article will look at how you can get your hands on Metal Parts in Vigor
How To Get Metal Parts
There are 4 ways in which you can get Metal Parts in Vigor. These ways are:
Looting
Creating your own using the Scrap Bin
Daily Challenges
Opening Crates
We will look at how each way works exactly, and how you can get metal parts using these methods.
Looting
Looting is a core mechanic of a lot of survival games, and Vigor is the same in that respect. The main way you can get your hands on metal parts when looting is through combination lockboxes.
These combination lockboxes can be found all over the game, and to open them you will need to enter in a combination. Entering the right combination is like a mini-game in a way, and to find the right combination you will need to scroll through the numbers until you see the number blinking green.
Other than combination lockboxes, you will also find other lootable items that might get you Metal Parts. Try to interact with any item that looks like a container when roaming through the game.
Most combination Lockboxes or other lootable items can most commonly be found inside structures like the barn above. So when you run into man-made structures, be sure to check them out.
Scrap Bin
The Scrap Bin in Vigor is a great way to passively generate Metal Parts when not actively looking for them. You can upgrade the Scrap Bin and utilize it by placing it in the armory in front of your shelter.
The main drawback of using the Scrap Bin is the resources it will use to make Metal Parts. As an early game player, you do not have the luxury of passively generating a resource at the expense of other valuable resources.
So despite being a good way to get a ton of Metal Parts, the Scrap Bin is mainly useful later on when you have spare resources lying around.
Daily Challenges
Daily Challenges in Vigor reward you for completing different challenges. Challenges in this game come in the form of quest like short missions that require you to do something specific. For example, one challenge might require you to use 7 bandages while playing.
Upon completing a challenge, you will be able to claim a reward. Metal Parts are a possible drop from challenges, so you should always check what the rewards are for certain challenges. Even if they do not give you Metal Parts, challenges in Vigor are still very worth it as the rewards are almost always useful.
Opening Crates
Lastly, Crates are also a great way to get Metal Parts very quickly. You can check out what a Crate in Vigor drops by hovering over it. Once you open a crate, the drops inside it will change a bit.
There’s no guarantee for Metal Parts from crates, but they are one of the quickest ways to get your hands on Metal Parts.
