Just like any other action RPG, content in Undecember gets progressively harder as you reach the endgame. At this point, enemies will hit harder and will be able to receive more punishment than before. And if your damage can’t keep up, then there’s just no way that you can take them down.

As such, you’ll need to find ways to increase your damage in the game. One of the most effective would be through the use of Charms.

In this guide, we’ll talk about what Charms are and how you can increase your damage using them.

Before anything else, let’s first have a brief overview of what Charms are. Charms are basically runes for your character that grant additional effects and bonuses which can greatly improve your overall combat power.

You can unlock them upon finishing Act 10. Moreover, you can access them via the Charm menu on the lower right corner of your character page. In the Charm menu, you can equip up to 6 different Charms, each having its own effects. However, you will only be able to unlock them when you complete maps, and the more maps you run, the more slots you can unlock.

Also, you can farm them on maps as they randomly drop there. However, each Charm that drops will have different effects, so it might take a while of farming to finally find the one that you need.

How to Increase Your Damage Using Charms

In order to push your damage to higher levels, you’ll need to look for Charms that specifically increase your damage. These could either be Projectile DMG or Physical DMG depending on whether you’re playing melee or ranged.

To give you an idea of which charm to look for, you can click on the Info button in the Charm menu. This will show you the current charms that you equipped as well as their effects. Basically, getting them to 140% completion will grant a 30% damage amplification to your character depending on the Blessing that you equip.

On the other hand, if you don’t like a particular charm, you can simply hover over it and click on Remove. Just keep in mind that it will cause you to lose that charm.

As with gear, you can also enchant your charms to make them even stronger. This will allow you to unlock even more powerful effects for more damage bonuses to your character. All you need to do is to head over to the Star Fuser.

From there, you can choose from various options including converting its rarity from Magic to Rare, rerolling its modifiers, rerolling its values, and more.

Combining Charms

In order to get 140% completion for the specific blessing you’re using, you need to equip Charms that belong to that blessing. For example, if you hover over one of your charms, it will have a text that says “Vesper’s Blessing: +14%”. This is just one of the 12 blessings that you can find in the game.

However, if you equip 6 Charms with Vesper’s Blessing in them and with the same value, it will only amount to 84%. So if you want to hit that 140% completion, you’ll need to fuse charms that belong to the same blessing.

In this case, you’ll want to fuse 6 charms with Vesper’s Blessing in the Star Fuser. This will cost you a lot of Chaos Orbs in return for a Chaos Star. The Chaos Star will be the result of the fusion, and it will then combine the values of all charms.

However, the resulting Chaos Star will have a random value that’s within a certain range close to the supposed value of all charms.

In this example, the supposed total would be 84%, but the Chaos Star will sometimes roll with 70% or somewhere within that value. Then, all you need to do is equip the Chaos Star in your Charm menu,. From there, you will then be able to see your Active Blessing Effect.

Using the same example, since you got a Chaos Star with a 70% roll, you just have to equip charms with Vesper’s Blessing that have a total combined value of at least 70. This way, you can unlock the 140% completion as well as the 30% damage bonus.
