One of the challenges for the Foundry level in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 will require you to find a bucket full of molten lava and grind on it. This is, of course, easier said than done. The bucket is a bit of an annoying spot, and it’s not even available at all times. Not to mention the ridiculous heat your character will have to deal with… nonetheless, we’ll help you nail this challenge with ease.

Grind the Molten Bucket Challenge in Foundry | Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4

For this challenge, you have to go to the farthest part of the level. It’s directly opposite of where the level starts. You should see a half-pipe there and a pool of molten lava in front of that half-pipe.

Of course, you should also notice that there’s a big metal bucket hanging above the pool of lava. That’s your objective here! However, you need to wait and have proper timing, as you can only grind the bucket when it goes horizontal to pour lava. If it’s vertical, you’ll need to wait a few seconds.

More specifically, you want to aim for the rails on the sides of the metal bucket. There’s one on each side, and landing on them will automatically start a grind and complete the challenge.

Now, the tricky part is actually reaching those rails. Use the nearby half-pipe to get some speed, and make sure to stay on the move so that you have enough momentum. As soon as you know the bucket is about to go horizontal, use the half-pipe to get some extra speed. Then, jump off the ramp in front of the half-pipe and aim for the bucket’s sides.

If you’re having issues due to not having enough air, it’s a good idea to try doing a No Comply by tapping up on the d-pad before jumping. You’ll jump higher with that trick, so it should be easier to reach the bucket!

While this method is ideal for the purpose of speed and scoring, it can be fairly hard to execute properly. So, if that’s still not working out for you, there’s an alternate method that’s easier but sacrifices speed.

Alternate Method

For the alternate method here, start the level then jump on the catwalk directly in front of you and to the right as the level starts.

Continue forward through the catwalk and then go left to reach the suspended room with glass panels, then turn to your right.

You should now be facing some beams, which is also where you can find the Secret Tape for the Foundry. More importantly here, though, these beams are conveniently right on top of the metal bucket!

So, at this point, you just need to land on the beam and come to a full stop. Then, wait for the metal bucket to start pouring lava and drop from the beam onto the bucket’s rails. It might take a couple of tries since it can be hard to nail the exact drop spot, but it’s an easier method!

The main downside to this method is that it can be slow, making it not ideal if you’re trying to complete all challenges in one run or if you want to get a high score. Nonetheless, it’s a decent alternative since it’s easier to execute, so we thought it was worth mentioning.

That’s the gist of how to complete the “Grind the Molten Bucket” challenge objective in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4. We hope one of these methods works for you! Either way, remember to be patient here, this objective can be tricky to pull off.
