The Quarry: Last Man Standing Ending Guide | Only Ryan Survives

The Last Man Standing is an ending in which only Ryan ends up as the survivor. To obtain this ending, you’ll have to go through a lot of questlines and make a handful of choices that will impact the progression of the game as a whole.

Last Man Standing Ending Guide Only Ryan Survives in The Quarry

Before you attempt to unlock this ending, you have to first obtain the Everyone Dies ending. After you manage to do so, you need to use Chapter Select and replay from Chapter 9. There are several steps you need to follow from here, so make sure to pay attention to all of them.

Steps to Follow

The first step you want to follow is to make sure that Ryan doesn’t pull the knife. A QTE will play where you’re given the option to Pull Knife. Instead, you’ll want to fail that QTE as you’ll be using the knife for the next scene.

In step two, you’ll be chased by Bobby in a corridor. As soon as Ryan enters a room, a QTE will play. You have to smash the button so Ryan will block the door with the cabinet. If you fail this event, Bobby will take the knife and stab Ryan, killing him in the process.

After that, a scene will play in which Ryan lies on the floor with Bobby standing in front of him. Once you’re given the Stab option, make sure to pass it. This will cause Ryan to stab Bobby in the right chest, eventually killing him.

Eventually, Laura will arrive at the scene with Ryan lying on the floor. After a few dialogues, two options will appear: Accept or Decline. You have to choose Accept so Laura will bite your arm. Once she does, a Pull Away QTE will appear. Make sure to fail this QTE and just let Laura continue biting.

As a result of your actions, Bobby gets mauled to death by Monster Chris alongside the other Hackett members. Ryan will get hold of a shotgun on the floor, and a QTE will then play. This time, you have to aim at Monster Chris and shoot him using the shotgun.

After that, Travis then kills Laura after shifting back to her human form. You’ll then be presented with two choices: Diplomatic and Aggressive. Choose Diplomatic, and after a few seconds, Travis will lunge forward and a QTE will play.

Make sure to pass this QTE so Ryan can avoid Travis’s tackle. Then, another QTE will play. This time, you have to aim at Travis’s head and shoot him.

Once you have finished Chapter 9, you’ll immediately unlock the Last Man Standing ending alongside its respective trophy.
