The best ending in The Quarry is where no one dies as all playable characters were able to survive the night in the Quarry. As long as you keep everyone alive, you’ll be able to unlock the best ending as well as the “Rough Night” trophy.

How to Get the Best Ending in The Quarry

There are 9 playable characters in the game who are as follows:

Abigail
Dylan
Emma
Jacob
Kaitlyn
Laura
Max
Nick
Ryan

If you want to get the best ending, you have to make sure everyone is alive. To do so, you have to keep one important thing in mind: NEVER fail any QTE sequence. Apart from that, you should also be careful with your interrupts and always pick the nice or friendly option during conversations.

Failing any of the QTEs will usually end up in someone getting hurt or killed. Meanwhile, interrupts could save or kill someone, so I highly recommend pausing the game and looking for a guide before deciding your next course of action.

To keep things simple, here are the important things you should keep in mind to get the best ending:

NEVER fail any QTE
Use death rewinds whenever necessary
Always go for the nice and friendly dialogue choices
Pause the game to check the outcome of an interrupt
Choose the Move On option when conversing with Eliza if possible

As mentioned, you only need to keep the above characters alive to get the best ending. The rest don’t count and won’t affect the ending that you get whether they live or not.
