The First Berserker Khazan is one of the new soulslikes released this year, and it has been a bit of hit for those who really love the genre due to its challenging gameplay and distinctive anime style aesthetic. In this guide, we will be going over some of the bits of armor and weapons that you can take advantage of early in the game to make your experience slightly smoother.

The 5 Best Weapons & Armor to Get Early

Before getting started, it should be noted that there are a ton of other gear choices in the game, especially if you pre-purchased or bought the deluxe edition. If you did either of those things, make sure to claim them from the hub area as they are decent armor sets.

With that out of the way, there are various other sets to consider during the early stages of the game. Here is a quick list of five of them:

• #1. Ashen Wolf Armor Set – This armor set can help save you a lot of stamina over time as it makes your dodges more efficient. It is paired well with a greatsword and can be farmed incredibly early in the game by killing normal enemies or fighting the yeti boss until you get the set.
• #2. Soul Eater Armor Set – This set is also good for efficiency as it increases your maximum stamina and how much you recover. On top of that, having a couple of pieces on you will also give you the passive ability to recover a bit of health upon defeating an enemy, making it great for healing too.
• #3. Bard’s Armor Set – This one does not actually benefit you much, if at all, in an actual fight. However, it is amazing for any type of farming as it increases the drop rate of various types of items and Lacrima. It also offers some stamina regeneration out of combat, but this is hardly the highlight of this set.
• #4. Butcher Armor Set – This armor set is particularly good for those who prefer using a dual wield build as it provides various buffs that it will greatly benefit from. Its set bonus with just a few pieces can also be useful for other weapons if you really want to use it.
• #5. Slayer Armor Set – Just like most of the other sets in this list, the Slayer armor set increases your efficiency when it comes to stamina usage. Having a full set makes your dodges very efficient, and you gain a slight bump in damage output as well. It can give you a small poison resistance buff too, if you ever need it.

Most of these armor sets can be acquired very early in the game by simply farming enemies and bosses, so the only investment you will need for some of the pieces will be a few minutes of your time. For some, like the Slayer gear, will need to be crafted.
