The First Berserker Khazan: Jar Enthusiasts Bonus Mission Guide | How to Unlock Jarlings

You can complete the “Jar Enthusiasts” Bonus Mission early in The First Berserker: Khazan to unlock the ability to find Jarlings.

Jarlings are charming tiny spirits who have jars for heads. They also serve as a type of collectible and are found in basically every main mission in the game. Finding them will also allow you to buy special goods from a certain shop. The more Jarlings you find, the better the goodies you can get!

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to start hunting down Jarlings.

“Jar Enthusiasts” Bonus Missions Guide | Unlock Jarlings in The First Berseker: Khazan

You can start the “Jar Enthusiasts” Bonus Mission after you complete the “First Act of Revenge” main mission. If you’ve done that, talk to Daimuk at The Crevice and select Bonus Mission and then Jar Enthusiasts.

After the conversation, you can start the mission by going to the “Cradle of Jars” Blade Nexus in the Phraugh Village region.

Once you spawn at the Blade Nexus, look for a weird guy with a jar for a head. That’s Danjin, talk to him. To sum up, he’ll ask you to look for his “jars”, which apparently like to hide inside other jars. He’s really talking about the Jarlings, which are tiny sentient jar-headed critters.

To complete this mission, you’ll need to find and collect all 6 Jarlings in the Crade of Jars area. Let’s go over where to find each one!

Jarling #1

After talking with Danjin, leave through the only exit available and follow the linear path through town.

Eventually, you’ll reach a ladder surrounded by dead bodies. Climb the ladder.

Once you’re up the ladder, turn to your left toward the nearby rope bridge. The first Jarling is standing out in the open in front of the bridge! Interact with it to send it back to Danjin.

Jarling #2

Cross the rope bridge after interacting with the previous Jarling and you’ll be on a house’s rooftop. You should also see a ladder to your left, drop down where the ladder is.

Then, turn to your right and continue over the wooden bridge.

You’ll eventually reach two consecutive ladders. Like before, drop down where the ladder is to reach the ground level of the village.

Turn around and enter the building behind the ladder after you drop down.

Then, turn to your right when you’re inside the building to find this Jarling in a corner.

Jarling #3

Leave the building with the previous Jarling and turn to your right. Go straight ahead to enter a building with a ladder. Climb the ladder once you enter the building.

Enter the first building to your left once you’re up the ladder.

Then, turn to your right to find the third Jarling hiding in a corner by the entrance.

That’s 3 out of 6 Jarlings in the “Jar Enthusiasts” Bonus Mission in The First Berserker: Khazan. We’re halfway through!

Jarling #4

Go to the left of the third Jarling and go through the small doorway to leave the building.

Then, turn to your right and follow the path straight ahead.

Turn to your left once you reach the more open area covered in dead bodies. You should notice an open building there, enter it.

This Jarling will be on the far corner to your left as you enter the building.

Jarling #5

Leave the building with the previous Jarling and go straight ahead following the main path.

This chill little Jarling is hanging out by the wooden arch on the path. This one deserves an award for the “Shortest Distance From the Previous Jarling” or something, right?

Jarling #6

Let’s finish up here! After picking up the 5th Jarling, go under the arch and continue down the path.

After a short walk, you’ll reach a gate with a trail of blood leading up to it. When you reach it, turn to your left.

The Jarling is on the wall to your left as you approach the bloodied gate. It was conveniently obscured by the low walls along the path!

Return to Danjin

Once you’ve collected all 6 of the Jarlings in the Cradle of Jars, complete the mission and return to The Crevice. You’ll now be able to meet with Danjin there, who will comment that the rest of his Jarlings must’ve run away really far. This will unlock the ability for you to find Jarlings in other parts of Arad!

Note that Jarlings will now also be available in the main missions you’ve previously completed. That means you’ll need to replay early-game missions, such as “Banished Hero”, if you wish to find all Jarlings and get 100%. It’s definitely a tad annoying, but that’s just how it is…

On the upside, the more Jarlings you collect, the more things Danjin will have in store at his shop. This includes unique Jar-shaped helmets, as well as useful materials and tools. You can also see how many Jarlings are required to unlock each item at the shop, which is a nice preview of your rewards.

Nonetheless, that’s everything you need to complete the “Jar Enthusiasts” Bonus Mission in The First Berserker: Khazan and unlock the ability to find Jarlings in missions.
