The First Berserker Khazan: How to Upgrade Weapons & Armor + Gear Attribute Reroll

The First Berserker: Khazan has a lot of randomized loot, but you can keep your favorites relevant by using the weapons and armor upgrade system, as well as the Attribute reroll mechanic.

Both of these upgrade systems call into Augment Gear and Change Attribute. Similarly, you can unlock both of those features together. You just need to progress the story and complete a quest for a certain NPC!

In this guide, we’ll tell you how to keep your gear in tip-top shape by unlocking the upgrade and reroll features.

How to Upgrade Weapons & Armor + Gear Attribute Reroll | The First Berserker: Khazan

You first need to complete the “Traitor Revealed” mission at the Paleimon Citadel. After you do that mission, find Oksana at The Crevice and talk with her.

At this point, Oksana will ask you to retrieve her Kaleido Box for her. Listen to her plea and you’ll unlock the “Kaleido” Bonus Mission at the Silent Temple. As usual, use the Spectral Portal to start the mission.

The mission itself is pretty simple, as it doesn’t even feature a boss. It’s not easy, mind you, but it shouldn’t be a challenge at this point in the game! Simply complete it and you’ll meet Oksana at the end. Oksana will be her usual charming self, but she’ll at least be pleased that the Kaleido Box is undamaged… mission complete!

Once you’ve completed the mission, meet Oksana once again at The Crevice. She’ll talk about the Kaleido Box and confirm that she can now use it to modify your equipment. You can now use Augment Gear to upgrade weapons and armor, or Change Attributes to reroll attributes.

Here are a few key things to note about these features:

• Augment Gear – You’ll first select the gear you want to upgrade. Then, you’ll need to select another gear of the same type that’s a higher level as a material. The gear picked as material will be destroyed, however.
• Change Attributes – You can pick an Attribute to reroll from any piece of gear. However, the Attribute it changes to is completely random. Each reroll costs a certain amount of Lacrima, with the cost increasing after each subsequent reroll.
