Qazumaka the Blacksmith is capable of helping you make the most out of your weapons and armor. He can dismantle junk loot for materials and use it to create new equipment or improve old ones. On top of that, he can also create helpful consumables, including some particularly rare ones. He’s quite helpful, really!
In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to be able to use the Blacksmith function.
How to Unlock Qazumaka the Blacksmith | The First Berserker: Khazan
The first thing you need to do to unlock the Blacksmith is to progress the story. More specifically, complete “Strange Stench”. This is the 5th main mission in the game, so it’s relatively early into the game. After completing this mission, Qazumaka the Blacksmith will appear at The Crevice.
Once you’ve done that, find Qazumaka in The Crevice and talk with him. He’ll thank you for saving him but will comment that he lost his hammer in the process. This conversation will unlock a new Bonus Mission, “Blacksmith’s Heirloom.”
Use the Spectral Portal and select the “Blacksmith’s Heirloom” mission in the Spiders’ Tomb region. This is a pretty short and simple mission, so just complete the level normally. Defeating Bearius, the final boss of the mission, will give you the Blacksmith’s Heirloom Hammer as a reward.
Now, return to Qazumaka at The Crevice and talk with him. You’ll automatically return the hammer to him, finishing the quest and unlocking the Dismantle and Craft features. Just speak to Qazumaka again to use his blacksmithing services whenever you wish!
You’ll be able to unlock more crafting options as you collect Tomes and Scrolls. These are obtained as rewards from missions and challenges, hidden as loot in specific areas, and even as drops from specific enemies. With time, Qazumaka will even be able to craft rare items such as the consumables required to respec Khazan’s stats!
It’s also worth noting you’ll be able to unlock the Augment and Change Attribute features later on in the game, but Qazumaka doesn’t handle those. For those, talk to Oksana and complete her “Kaleido” bonus mission. It unlocks once you complete the “Traitor Revealed” main mission.
That’s the end of our guide, now you know everything you need to unlock the Blacksmith features in The First Berserker: Khazan!
Venezuelan gamer cursed by being interested by most games, resulting in a ridiculous backlog he’ll never be able to conquer. Been gaming for over two decades now! Few things exemplify his wide variety in gaming tastes as the fact that he’s a big fan of both Souls games and the Atelier series at the same time. Also a big fan of Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Deadly Premonition, Zero Escape, and Dead Rising, among others. Considers Lost Judgment and Sekiro to both be masterpieces.
