After meeting up with Momo and knowing that there are Outsiders leaving the Slums, you will receive a task prompting you to track down their notebooks. The reason why he wants you to recover those notebooks is because his transceiver is faulty.

As such, he has no means of contacting them, who happen to be his friends.

These notebooks will contain a note that Momo needs in order to fix his device. However, these notebooks are scattered throughout various locations, and if you don’t know where to find them, this guide is for you.

All Notebook Locations Guide in Stray

There’s a total of four notebooks you need to obtain from different locations. Before anything else, take note that you can find these locations marked with a blue symbol. Also, you can find all four notebooks on the upper flats which you can access via the rooftops of the lower buildings.

Let’s have a look at where exactly you can find the notebooks.

Notebook #1

The very first notebook is actually given to you by Momo himself after talking to him. He will reveal to you that he’s now done with his dreams of the world outside. Once your robot companion has finished analyzing the notebook, it will tell you to look for the other three notebooks.

You can easily tell their locations by the presence of an Outsiders logo nearby.

Notebook #2

The second notebook is Zbaltazar’s notebook which you can find inside a tall them just not far from Momo’s place. Simply head back outside then turn to the left to find a tall building featuring a huge Outsiders logo on the roof.

In order to get inside, you need to turn off the switch on the roof to disable the fan, allowing you to get through it. Drop down the hole on the fan, and then knock over the pile of boxes to get the notebook that’s inside.

Notebook #3

The third notebook belongs to Clementine, and you can find it inside Clementine’s flat which is just on the opposite side of Momo’s. Just squeeze through the small window on the right side of the Outsiders logo and pass through a small opening in the sliding door.

Turn left to enter a room with Clementine’s computer still turned on. You’ll be able to find the last notebook on the desktop.

Notebook #4

The last notebook belongs to Doc. You can find it locked inside a safe in a flat that has tons of books. You’ll be able to find the place by looking for a small Outsiders sign on a balcony. Once you arrive at the sign, go through a small opening on the left side which will lead you to a library.

Go straight then turn right until you find a room with a pile of books in front of it. From there, you will need to grab the keys which you’ll need to open the safe. After getting the keys, go for the nearby bookshelf with a pile of books on the front. Knock over those books to reveal a safe behind them. Simply use the keys in order to open the safe and obtain the notebook inside.

After you have all four notebooks, simply go back to Momo and hand them over. He will read a note regarding a flaw in his transceiver, allowing him to fix it.

Unfortunately, even after fixing the device, it still won’t pick up a signal in the area. As such, you’ll need to go to the Zurk territory which is where the fifth chapter of the game takes place.
