After all, sniper bullets won’t even make a dent in them, and in order to take down one, you’ll need a different approach.

How to Destroy Tanks in Sniper Elite 5
Tanks might be tough, but they surprisingly have several weak points you can exploit. All you need to do is to fire at those weak points to destroy them. Ideally, before you even engage one, you have to use analyze it from afar using your binoculars first. For the most part, these weak points are the rear engine and the two tracks.

You can use any type of explosive to achieve this. Simply approach the tank and attach an explosive to its wheels. Alternatively, you can use Panzerfaust weapons which can be found nearby.
Once the tank is disabled, quickly take down the enemy who’s manning the mounted weapon to stop the tank’s endless barrage of bullets.
After that, you’ll need to get to its rear and fire at its engine which is located just below the exhaust. Firing at the tank’s shell won’t do anything, so don’t waste your time doing so. Just continue firing at the rear engine and you should be able to destroy it in seconds.
Once you’ve done all these, then you’ve successfully destroyed a tank. Simply rinse and repeat this process against other tanks you encounter.
