Thankfully, there’s a simple trick you can make use of to quite literally become rich quick. For it, you’ll basically need to buy ingredients and mass-produce goods with them. Then, resell the goods for a large profit and repeat until you’re done!

Read on and we’ll give you the step-by-step of this goldmaking process.

Simple Trick for Infinite Gold & Materials | Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

While this trick can be done at any point, we recommend having two Origin Potions to maximize its gains. You can find them while exploring or buy them from Jann Herber in the Horns of the South main fort after you’ve progressed a bit through the campaign.

It’s also a good idea to be at least Level 15 for this, but the higher the better. Plus, you should have at least 600 Gold to start with. It’ll be your seed money, trust the process!

With that said, you want to make a note of your character build first and then chug one of the Origin Potions. Use the reset stats to allocate everything into Practicality, then get the following skills from Practicality’s Crafting and Trading skill tree:

  • Mercantile Skills – Max it out to get 50% more profits when selling items.
  • Side Dish Mastery – Fully level it up and you’ll have a 30% chance to create extra dishes when making Food.
  • Reusable Resources – Get it to its max level and you’ll have a 50% chance to not use materials when crafting… which does include Food!

With all of those prerequisites met, you’re ready to start the process proper!

Becoming a Chef for a While

Next up, go to Ruaric’s kitchen in the middle of the Horns of the South main fort. Buy all of the ingredients he has available, which should cost you about 500 to 600 Gold depending on his stock.

Then, interact with the Cooking Pot behind Ruaric’s counter and start cooking. You want to make recipes out of all of the ingredients you just purchased. The only recipe you should avoid is Beggar’s Fare. Essentially, just cook everything!

If you don’t have recipes unlocked, use the Experimental Cooking option. It lets you manually input ingredients, which unlocks recipes on a successful cooking attempt. Here are the main recipes you should use from most profitable to least profitable:

  • Mom’s Pie – Flour, Blueberry, Egg.
  • Beef Stew – Beef, Carrot, Potato.
  • Poultry Stew – Poultry and any 2 Vegetables.
  • Cabbage Rolls – Any Meat, Cabbage, Groats.
  • Mashed Potatoes – Milk, Potato.
  • Fried Fish – Any Fish, Butter.
  • Oatmeal – Oats.
  • Sewal’s Delight – Crab, Any Fish, Raspberry.

Cook everything you possibly can using these recipes. This will also increase your Cooking Proficiency. When you get to 75 or higher Cooking Proficiency, you can start mixing random ingredients together even without following these recipes. You’ll get good results nonetheless!

Once you’re all done cooking, talk to Ruaric and sell all of your meals to him. You should make a solid profit of about 2000 Gold per run of this method. However, it does depend somewhat on your luck with Side Dish Mastery and Reusable Resources.

To repeat the process, just leave the kitchen and rest. You can do so by sleeping in a bed or just resting at a bonfire. Quitting to the main menu and reloading your save also works. This will restock Ruaric’s shop, allowing you to buy it all and cook again.

How to Get Upgrade Materials Too

Now, you might be wondering how to turn this simple trick for infinite Gold into infinite materials as well in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. Well, for that you just need to go to any blacksmith and buy materials from them.

Since you now have an infinite source of Gold, you can also buy all the materials you want. Also, you can restock all blacksmith’s shops by resting or reloading, just like Ruaric’s shop.

However, in the case of blacksmiths, we recommend entering a house or leaving the area before you rest. Resting out in the open and near the blacksmith seems to prevent them from restocking!

Nonetheless, that’s the entire process laid out. This even works with Alchemy too, if you wish. Just purchase Alchemy ingredients and use an Alchemy Station instead of cooking. Jann Herber’s shop and the Alchemy Station inside the Crypt are solid choices while staying within the Horns of the South main fort.

Once you’re done making use of this process, you can use another Origin Potion to return to your proper build. It’s as simple as that.

So, there you have it! That’s everything you need for this simple trick for infinite gold and materials in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. If you’re still early in the game, we recommend also checking out our list of the best 25 or so early-game items to get. They can help you get an edge!
