Runescape Dragonwilds: Restless Ghosts Quest Guide

Runescape Dragonwilds is now out, and there are a handful of quests that you can just randomly find and complete for varying rewards. One of the quests you can find in the first area of the game is called Restless Ghosts, and it is something that you can easily miss if you are not the type to check out every object you stumble into. This guide will show you how to complete the quest.

Restless Ghosts Quest Guide

In order to start the Restless Ghosts quest, you must first find the Amulet of Ghostspeak. To do this, just go to the village at Bramblemead Valley and interact with the well that can be found at the northern part of this zone.

Refer to the map image below to see where the well can be found. Once you have the amulet, just run to the south and you should be able to see the first restless spirit in one of the ruined houses. Make sure that you are doing the quest at night time, because that is when the spirits will appear.

The first ghost will tell you all of the hints that you need to search for the other three spirits. After you are done talking with the one at the village, head to the windmill to the west. Again, refer to the map image below and you will find the next ghost in a house there.

This is Lazina’s Spirit, and it will tell you all about how they used to be a skilled swordsman who traveled to this region in search of wealth and glory, until a dragon ended their life. Once you are done talking to them, the spirit will repeat the remaining hints for the other two.

For this next one, make sure that you have enough runes to cast the windstep spell and have a high enough woodcutting level to be able to cut a bundle of thorny vines. Go back to the village and then run to the southeast until you reach the point in the map image below.

Once you get to this area, you will find a cave slightly above you, which will be completely inaccessible without the aforementioned requirements. If you do not have the necessary levels, go and get them first before continuing with the quest.

Use windstep so that you can jump to the cave with a lit torch that is marked in the picture below. When you get up there, you have to whip out your axe and chop the thorny vines blocking the entrance.

Inside, you will find the spirit of Finn, who will tell you all about how the dragon cornered them in the cave and killed them with a flood of poisonous flames. He will repeat the hint for the final spirit, and our advice is to prepare for a long run.

The location of the final spirit is in the Whispering Swamp, which you can access by going up north from Bramblemead Valley. To avoid falling to your death, even if you havewindstep on, just follow the road that leads to that region.

Along the way, you are going to run into a lot of goblins and plague rats, but you can avoid all of them by simply running. Just be careful of the water in the swamp, because a lot of it is deep enough to slow you down, and rats are sometimes hidden under it.

Refer to the map image below to find the exact spot for the last spirit. To save yourself from potential confusion and a lot of waiting, do not enter the swamp until it is night time. This region has a very thick fog that makes hit hard to tell the time of day.

After talking to the last spirit, they will tell you to say some prayers for the dead at the place by the temple so that they can finally rest in peace. You are now free to leave the swamp, as the final step will require you to backtrack all the way back to the start.

The final step is to return to the cathedral at Temple Woods, which is where you start the game. At the side of the building, you will find a Shrine of Rememberance. This is a vase with some flowers sticking out, and all you need to do is interact with it.

When it asks you “Who will you remember?”, just select each of the spirit’s names until you run out of options to choose from. When all of that is done, you will be rewarded with the following items:

• 1x Tome of Mining – Vol 1.
• 1x Tome of Woodcutting – Vol 1.
• 1x Tome of Cooking – Vol 1.
• 1x Tome of the Artisan – Vol 1.

These are all volume 1 tomes, which will award you with 100 experience for its respective skill upon use. You are free to use them immediately, as they will just take up space if you hold on to them for too long.

That is pretty much all you need to do in order to complete this quest, and you are now free to continue exploring the map and seeing what it has to offer in this early version.
