One of the features from earlier Rune Factory games that are included in Rune Factory 5 is the ability to tame creatures. This is encouraged by the game because tamed monsters can assist you in battle, work on your farms, and even be mounted for faster movement.
How to Tame Monsters in Rune Factory 5
You must first build a Monster Barn if you want to tame monsters. The only way to construct Monster Barns in this iteration of Rune Factory is to use Farm Dragons, which are enormous auxiliary farms that you’ll unlock as you go through the game.
Throughout the game, you’ll receive five Farm Dragons, and each one may support two Monster Barns.
Taming Monsters
Monster taming is a relatively easy technique, provided there is space in one of your Monster Barns.
You can tame a monster by giving it an item the same way you would give one to a citizen of Rigbarth. Simply approach it while holding something in your hands and present it to them.
Similar to how the Pokeball shakes in Pokemon, a small heart will emerge above the monster’s head and begin to beat; the longer it beats, the more likely it is that the taming attempt was successful.
The taming effort has failed if the icon quickly changes to a skull above the monster’s head. This could indicate one of five things:
This new monster cannot fit in your monster barns since there is not enough room.
You are not at a high enough level to tame the monster.
Withered grass or a failed dish are two examples of items that can damage the monster while trying to tame it.
You are taming a boss monster using an object that it dislikes.
The beast cannot be tamed. King Wooly is one of those monsters that can never be tamed.
