Prince of Persia The Lost Crown: How to Solve the Water Wheel Puzzle

Prince of Persia the Lost Crown is mostly an action-packed game, but it has some tricky puzzles too. Puzzles in Price of Persia are really fun and innovative, but they can also be a bit challenging.

The water wheel puzzle will come your way pretty early in the game. It is an essential part of the game, so to progress further you will have to solve it.

This guide will help you solve the water wheel puzzle and continue your journey in the game.

How to Solve the Water Wheel Puzzle

The water wheel puzzle isn’t that long, but you have to follow specific steps to solve it.

The image above showcases what you will see once you enter the puzzle room. On the floor, you will see 2 pressure platers, indicated by the red arrows. Stepping on them for now will only release a trickle of water, not enough to move the wheels.

To activate the pressure plates, the first thing you need to do is to climb up the two poles in the image. After climbing up, you will see a ledge to your left.

From the ledge, you will see a lever above you on the ceiling. To activate this, you will need to jump and mid-air attack the lever. Hitting the lever will release the water from above, making the left pressure plate on the groundwork.

This is eerily familiar with the Menolias in the Forest quest when you needed to hit the door mid-air.

Make your way back to the ground now. You can now move the left pressure plate by stepping on it. Using the pressure plate will move the Wheel anti-clockwise.

To progress further, you will need to move the wheel into the position in the image above. You can then climb on the poles again to activate the second pressure plate to the right.

You will need to activate the lever the same way you did for the first one. This time you will need to jump directly above the pole and attack the lever. Now you can go back to the ground and both pressure plates will be active.

Stepping on the right pressure plate will move the smaller gear alongside the big wheel.

With both pressure plates active you can now move all the poles in the room. The red arrows above indicate where the poles need to be.

You will first need to use the right pressure plate to move the gear into the correct position. After that is in place, use the left pressure plate to move the big wheel where it needs to be.

From the pole on the gear, you can jump to the ledge to your right. You can see the ledge indicated by the blue arrow. Jumping on this ledge will make it drop and open a door. This door will allow you to progress further into the game.
