Best Base Location

For the location of your base, the most important aspect to consider is how many biomes there are nearby. Being close to biomes will let you benefit from what they have to offer. Other than that, locations like wolf caves are also very helpful to have around.

Wolves in Pax Dei are going to drop their hide that you can pick up and make leather out of. Leather is a very important resource, and in the early game, wolves are going to be a great source of it.

The red circles in the image above showcase 2 ideal base locations. You have plenty of biomes all around you with a lot of different areas of interest nearby. Biomes like forests are generally going to be the most important, as trees are the best early-game resource in this game.

After finding the right location, you can start building your base at that location. As you progress in the game and unlock new things, you will be able to upgrade your base and make it even better.

All the starting locations in this game are pretty similar in terms of resources. Resources in this game are overall very well divided across different areas.

The main thing you will need to consider is how many people are at a certain location on the server you are on. Low or medium populated areas are much better to start at as fewer players will contest the best base locations.
