The Companions system makes it so that you can go on adventures with a creature alongside you. It’s one way to make your journeys on planets less dull and interesting. One such companion that you can obtain in the game is the Child of Helios. This is basically a companion version of the huge Child of Helios space anomaly.
Unlike most companions, however, this one is a bit tricky to get. In this guide, I’ll show you how you can get the Child of Helios jellyfish pet as quickly as possible.
How to Get the Helios Jellyfish Pet in No Man’s Sky
To be fair, getting this companion is quite easy; it’s the actual tasks you need to do to get there that are challenging. Specifically, you can get the Child of Helios companion egg after completing all 5 Expedition phases. Now, that sounds easy, but do take note that each of these phases has its own goals you need to complete.
Each phase has a number of milestones you need to complete, and each milestone will have a specific objective as well. For example, Phase 5 has a total of 6 milestones you need to complete. There’s a milestone that requires you to discover 25 new phases and more.
Due to the time it takes to complete each milestone, getting the Child of Helios companion can actually take a while. Luckily, you can get rewards for each milestone you completed. Once you completed all 5 phases, you will automatically get the Child of Helios companion egg as a reward.
Simply look for the egg inside your inventory then hatch it. You should then get a prompt saying egg hatched, and your new companion can now be summoned via the Summon menu.
