Bricks are a refined material used for crafting a number of items in My Time at Sandrock. Some good examples include the Crane Lift, Grinder, Processor, and Stone Slate.
However, since the game won’t actually tell you how to make them, it can be a bit confusing for new players.
If you’re wondering how to make Bricks in the game, this guide is for you.
How to Make Bricks in My Time at Sandrock

You can get bricks in a couple of different ways, but they all boil down to the same two methods.
The first one is through the Furnace method. Once you’ve built a Furnace and powered it up with fuel and water, you can have a consistent supply of Bricks reliably.
A Furnace turns raw Stone into Bricks with a fixed 4:1 ratio, which means you need 4 Stone to produce 1 Brick.
Simply just interact with the Furnace, put in the Stones, and choose “Brick” from the list. This works every single time, and doesn’t rely on luck.
Crafting time will last for around a minute, so just leave the Furnace for a while and return shortly to get your Bricks.
To build your Furnace in the first place, you must have completed the early game’s “The New Builder” quest to get the blueprint.
Meanwhile, building it requires things like Stone Troughs, Quartz, and Wooden Sticks placed at an Assembly Station before you can use it.
The second one is via the Recycler method.
If you don’t want to burn a bunch of stone through the furnace or just need a couple quick pieces, you can throw Stone Scrap into a Recycler. This will sometimes give you Bricks.
However, it’s not guaranteed, and the only reason people bother with this early is if they don’t yet have a Furnace set up or are sitting on tons of scrap.

Where to Get Raw Stones
Stone itself comes from hitting small rocks and gravel nodes scattered around your workshop and out in the desert with a Pickhammer. These drop Stone directly, and small rocks can also drop Quartz and other bits while you’re at it.
Moreover, you can buy Stone from the Commerce Guild Store to save some grind if you have enough Gols.
Personally, I recommend making Bricks using the Furnace instead of relying on the Recycler due to the involvement of RNG which can screw you over, especially early when you just need enough for commission builds.
