Mortal Online 2: Horse Taming Guide

One of the best ways to gain the upper hand over other players is with a trusty steed by your side. But how do you obtain one?

In Mortal Online 2, players can tame many different animals for various purposes. But some are more useful than others. In a medieval-inspired fantasy game, it’s hard to think of a more useful animal than a horse.

Even though you can buy horses, it might be more profitable (and fun) to tame the wild ones, running in the game’s world.

How to Tame Horses in Mortal Online 2?

The first thing you’ll need to tame horses is the Domestication skill. To learn it, you can buy Domestication Master Book from a librarian.

This will give you access to all animal-related skills, including taming. Now, all you need to do is approach a horse and hold the “R” button to tame it! But whether or not you’ll succeed will depend on what level your taming skill is and a few other variables.

The Pet Points

In Mortal Online 2, you can have many different animals. Depending on your horse’s level, it will require different amounts of pet points. If the required pet points are high, the horse will lose loyalty very quickly. Although horses with higher level are more powerful you need to keep in mind how many pet points you have. Those are determined by your Creature Control Skill level.

Taking Care of Your Steed

Once you have tamed a horse that suits your needs, you’ll have to make sure that it stays loyal.

How do you do that?

First of all, make sure your horse is fed. As you play the game, your steeds hunger stat will increase and you’ll need to share some food you’ve gathered to keep it from losing loyalty. If the horse likes the food you give it, it’s loyalty will increase. And with more loyalty, you’ll be able to give your horse direct commands, like ordering it to attack an enemy or follow you.

Animal Care

Now that you have your horse, all you need to do is get back to the city and store them in a stable. To do that, get back to the city and find an Equerry. Holding the “R” button will bring up the menu allowing you to store the horses you’ve tamed. For each horse you’ll need one silver coin.

Now that your new companions are stabled, their level will slowly grow with time. Although, how long that process will take depends on how many points you’ve invested into the Animal Care skill.

But even low level horses can be very useful.

You can equip them with bags, allowing you to carry more items. Mounting them will let you traverse the Myrland much faster. And if you don’t have a use for a horse at the time, you can always sell it.
