Follower Quests are special missions that you can access under the Follower Collab Quests from the Quest Counter. This type of mission will have you accompany a specific NPC on a hunt, and once you managed to finish that quest, you will then be able to bring that NPC along with you in future hunts.

Not only that, but completing Follower Quests also grant you certain rewards. One such reward comes in the form of secret armors and weapons. Let’s have a look at what those are and how you can unlock them.

How to Unlock Best Secret Armor and Weapons in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

Before anything else, you want to keep in mind that Follower Collab Quests aren’t available right away. However, you don’t need to reach the endgame either just to perform it. In fact, they will be unlocked once you complete the MR2 quest named “Scarlet Tengu in the Shrine Ruins”.

After completing that quest, you’ll then notice pink dialogue bubbles on top of certain NPCs’ heads. These are basically NPCs that have a Follower Collab Quest available for you.

More and more Follower Collab Quests will become available to you as the story progresses. There are actually two types. First is the Follower Quests which you can get from NPCs and have specific requirements you need to fulfill. Second is the Support Surveys where you can pick 2 NPCs of your choice.

When you complete Follower Quests, you will also unlock some secret armors and weapons. Let’s have a look at what those are:

Secret Armor Sets

  • Knight Squire – Finish the Flicker in the Night quest to obtain this light armor. You can do the quest even at MR 1, making it a really easy armor to obtain pretty early on.
  • Royal Artillery Corps – Obtained after completing the Passion Melts Ice quest which involves hunting an Aurora Somnacanth.
  • Heavy Knight – An armor set you can unlock after completing the Unknown Invader quest which tasks you with hunting Gore Magala.
  • Dignified – Unlocked after unlocking the Royal Order Certificate II currency.
  • Professor – An armor you can unlock after completing the 5-star Follower Quest, A Cold Wind Blows.
  • Charite – A variant of the Professor set that you can obtain by completing the same quest but on a female character.
  • Commander – A set that you can obtain after hunting a Furious Rajang from the Rage That Never Dies quest. This is a 6-star quest that requires you to be at least MR10.

Secret Weapons

  • Royal Order’s Great Sword – Unlocked by completing the Burning Air, Trembling Earth quest. This quest involves hunting both a Rathalos and a Tigrex all in the same mission.
  • Royal Order’s Sword – Can be obtained after completing the An Audience with the Queen quest that involves hunting a Rathian.
  • Royal Order’s Rapiers – A dual blade that you can obtain after completing the An Ace Idea! quest. This one involves hunting a Zinogre.

The rest of the secret weapons are Royal Order variants of their own class. However, the three I’ve mentioned are the best that I’ve tried so far.
