Some of these creatures might be a little difficult to find.

You should be able to find the Burrower Larva either at the end of the tunnel underground or on the second level of the Lava Mines.

For the Lava Mines, you can find the Burrower Larva to the right. After you beat the Burrower Larva, you can find an effigy that you can back to over and over to fight the Burrower Larva after you’ve beaten it. 

There is a bit of randomness when finding this monster, but a big clue to know you’re headed in the right direction is the 3 Fight Door which goes into the Lava Mines.

If you’re running a solo quest to find and kill the Burrower Larva, make sure to bring pots. The 150 damage ones should be enough. Every time the Burrower Larva goes into hiding he gets a buff that makes him stronger and you weaker. 

That being said, make sure that the fight doesn’t go on for very long or this buff will stack against your favor. Once the Burrower Larva gets 3 stacks of this buff, he becomes very powerful and hard to beat. 

However, if he isn’t able to build these stacks this monster is quite the pushover. Players have reported getting harder fights just trying to reach the Burrower Larva.

Ultimately, the difficulty of this fight will depend on your skill.

Killing the Burrower Larva is a great way to finish the “kill a 1-2 monster solo” challenge. He’s repeatable, so you can fight him as much as you want.
