When you first walked inside grandpa’s bedroom, you might have encountered the planets medallion puzzle.

There is a plaque with two empty holes where the medallions should go in the tiny closet/bathroom in the back of grandpa’s room. There will already be one medallion in place, but it can be moved. Two more medallions must be located.

Solving Planet Medallions Puzzle

The first medallion can be found when the power goes out earlier in the game. You will need to activate the generator at this point by traveling to the basement. There is a short hallway with a group of shelves at the end just past the generator. The first medallion is located on the group of shelves.

Only later on in the game can the second medallion be located. As soon as you enter grandpa’s bedroom, look in the wardrobe for some Loodchrome Film. Go through the door to the tiny living area when you have the film. To reach a room with a projector, navigate the hallways. Insert the film into the projector.

After that, approach the wall where the photos are hanging. The visuals will begin to blink quickly. Use your camera to capture a photo of them blinking to reveal the second medallion and the solution to the puzzle. The picture you shot while the film pictures were blinking holds the key to resolving the problem.

The sequence where the planets should be placed on the wall can be seen in the photo. Return to the location of the plaque in grandpa’s bedroom. If you haven’t already, take out the medallion that is contained in the plaque.

Sort the medallions, so they are in the same order as in the picture. To spin the medallions and align the planets, press the buttons on the plaque beneath each medallion hole. The closet door will slide open after the planets are correctly positioned.
