LEGO Fortnite: Where To Find Sand Shells

The latest expansion from Epic Games, LEGO Fortnite acts like a whole new game where the Fortnite formula has been given a LEGO themed makeover. Free to download, it introduces whole new gameplay mechanics and resources to find – like the Sand Shells.

These are a valuable resource for upgrading your crafting bench. This allows you to craft higher level weapons, tools and charms, giving you a greater advantage in the game.

Where To Find Sand Shells

The Sand Shells are a generally common resource that will be dropped by the Sand Crab when you successfully kill them. Which is similar to how the Sand Claw drops from a Sand Wolf!

Whilst they can be found in all sand regions like the Dry Valley, they are most easily found in the ‘Shore’ biome.

Essentially, these are beaches next to large bodies of water like an ocean or river.

You need to scan the sand and find them buried in the sand. These enemies are slightly harder to spot since they camouflage themselves into the landscape and don’t immediately stand out.

They are identified by a bright yellow mound with green leaves protruding from the top, like in the image.

However, don’t mistake them for the regular Crabs you will find across the rest of the map. What you’re looking for will only be found in these areas.

When you get near them, the Sand Crabs will jump out of the sand and attack you. They have a thick shell and deliver big hits, so make sure you have the necessary gear for a fight with them.

Their most common attack involves them charging at you. If you are especially close to a body of water, you can trick them into charging in – this will kill them instantly! You’ll find the Sand Shell as a dropped material once they’ve been killed.

There you have it! If you found yourself taking quite a lot of damage from farming these resources, you might want to consider getting more health!
