As you near a light door, you’ll notice two huge statues on both sides, and these are part of the puzzle you need to solve to progress. If you’re a bit confused as to how to solve it, then this guide will help you.
How to Solve the Statue Puzzle In Temple of Light in God of War Ragnarok

You’ll notice it has a stone with a green glow which you need to hit either with your ax or with Atreus’ bow. This will cause the stone to collapse, consequently knocking down the statue.
Once it’s down, get close until you see a prompt. This will then cause Kratos to throw his Blades of Chaos and pull the statue to the left. You’ll then see some markings on the wall, and you need to grapple on them to make your way to the top.

Turn right and grapple until you find your way to the other side where the left statue is. Just keep moving until you’re right behind the left statue. Same as the statue to the right, you’ll also notice a stone with a green glow on this one.
Follow the same step you did with the first statue, and this will then cause the statue at your front to lean to the wall. Hit the sigil on the statue’s back with Atreu’s bow, and then throw your ax toward the shield. This will then cause the statue’s wings to fall off.

Lastly, yank the statue toward the left using your Blades of Chaos.
Final Parts of the Puzzle
The next step is to head back to where the first statue is. This time, you want to grapple back to the top via the markings on the wall. However, you have to turn left and position yourself in a way that you have a clear view of the other statue’s shield. At this point, all you have to do is hit the shield with your ax.
This will cause the ax to bounce toward the crystal on the light door, breaking it. It will also open the door immediately, and you can then progress further.
